Old Homosassa Heritage Park and Working Waterfront — Attraction in Homosassa Springs

This is a cute little riverside park in Old Homosassa. Amenities include picnic tables, grills, and plenty of shade. It's a nice spot to have a picnic on the waterfront or just river watch for a spell. The lighthouse slide and ladder is so dangerous. Please do not let your small children climb that two story metal ladder alone. The park would be perfect if only there was steps leading to the top or anything but a metal ladder inside a lighthouse where one wrong step leads to horrible injury or death. Update , they added swings and a nice huge slide! Nice little play area that's fenced in. The only scary part for me is the ladder going up and down to the tower for my 2.5 year old it's a little advanced. A great addition to Homosassa, I'll be back.
