The Ice Cream Barr — Restaurant in Florida

I hate to be that person... because I really love supporting local small business. But we went there last week for a first time and my daughter got a kids size cake batter cookie dough cone, my husband got an eggnog cone and I got a small pistachio cup. The eggnog and the cookie dough ice cream tasted very strange, like that artificial flavor you get sometimes. It had a bad aftertaste. Besides that I'm not sure how one kid cone, one - 1 one scoop cone and one small cup came out to $17.50! I don't know I don't think we'll be back. The waffle cone itself was delicious and my pistachio ice cream was very good.

EDIT: Posting honest reviews is the whole point of...reviews. I didn't need to complain in person, because we ate the ice cream, and we didn't like it. You wanted me to turn around, come 20 minutes back there to ask for a refund or replacement for eaten ice cream? I said nothing about the portions, they were indeed generous! Delicious ice cream in a cute little red building! We stopped here twice while on vacation. I tried the cold brew flavor in a 16 oz. milkshake and the mocha chip flavor in a waffle cone with a single scoop. The milkshake was a little too runny but still tasted good. I also wish the cold brew shake had a little more coffee flavor. It probably would have been better in a bowl or cone. The portion of the single scoop was very large! The flavor of the mocha chip was fantastic. It’s definitely worth the price which is a little high, but the ice cream is homemade AND you’re supporting a local business so it’s how you look at it 🤷‍♀️ The girl working inside was very friendly and efficient for being by herself. There is no indoor seating or restrooms. It is only a walk up window where you can grab and go. The parking lot is very small. This place has simply the "BEST" ICE CREAM...EVER!! I was staying at a nearby resort and saw a line of people in front of their quaint building that was all lit up in the evening, and I just had to stop. The lovely owners seem to have a steady repeat clientele, and if you're "LUCKY enough" to visit the place you will never forget it. Their ice creams are HOMEMADE and loaded with all kinds of yummy delights depending on the flavor you get. The scoops are "HUGE", and so are their DELICIOUS WAFFLE CONES!
