A lil overdue on the review, but yessss, their 🍩. Hands down DA BES 🍩! Very fluffy, not too heavy or greasy✌🏽 The flavors are very creative, fillings/creams/toppings - all natural, esp fruits: no preservatives or artificial, you'd taste real fruits in them! All sooo yummy & ono-licious!😋 I'd need to watch out my carbs/sugar but lols, oh well, I always save some space for their 🍩🤙🏽
Wanted to keep this place "a hidden secret 🍩 spot" in Kaimuki, but that's a matter of time, I guess...😂 Their current location is just behind Mud Hen Water on Waialae, the store is on the 9th in a shared facility(not quite an actual "storefront", cannot wait 'til they find an actual store!). The sign is out on the NE corner of Waiale/9th sidewalk when they're open. Always a long line before opening, often sell out fast, and parking is almost always challenging but all in all, absolutely worths the headache. Oh and did I say their 🍩 are...
Read moreGoogle maps lead me to the right place and there is small signage indicating the turn. Parking is tight and limited on spaces. This is just a kitchen for pick up with a table stand right outside. No sit down service so be aware. The donut menu rotates weekly and you can find menu on Instagram. There are always just a few donuts I'm interested in per week so I bought the ones I wanted that week. They do offer a flight of select flavors for a discounted price as well. The fritter flavor sounded good that week but it was really dense and oily. Not my fave. But the donuts were surprisingly fluffy and flavorful for vegan donuts. The price seems comparable to most bakeries now days and this is a small business so if it makes you feel better about supporting... I might return to try other flavors but ultimately it is way out of the way for me so it...
Read moreI’d heard about these donuts for a while through the virtual grapevine but never had the occasion - or craving - to get to Kaimuki for them. While dining at Mud Hen Water, a friend came by and dropped off a trio of donuts from their cart in the back parking lot.
These are really good yeast donuts, soft and pillowy with creative icing flavors. We got Pineapple Li Hing Mui (my fave of the three), Watermelon Mint, and Lemon Black Sesame.
If I lived in the neighborhood this would be definitely my go-to. If you’re not, free parking is going to be a challenge. There are about five spots in the parking lot in back of Mud Hen Water, which is where the donut stand is located. I’m not picky about my donuts, so I’ll probably get donuts where it’s...
