This review is based on 2 recent visits. On the first visit we had recently returned from Japan. In Japan, There seems to be hand sanitizer everywhere. Every vendor acknowledges you and thanks you for your business. On this first visit to McD’s since our return from Japan I ordered in person. I saw the hand sanitizer bottle so I tried to use some…but the container was empty. Two parties were waiting for their orders but there appeared to be only a few workers. They finally got their order. My number was called and I walked up. The worker plopped two bags on the counter and looked away, saying nothing. I wondered, am I done? I checked the package and verified my order was complete. So, I left, but at that point I wasn’t in Japan anymore. I laughed about it. Tonite went back and decided to try the McD’s App, as perhaps I might save a little $ by using the App. I installed the App on my phone. I ordered 2 Mcterri burgers with the app and drove down. The front door had a sign saying, “drive thru service only” or something to that effect. So I got in my car and got in line at the drive thru. The person on the intercom was very cheerful and I told her I used the app to order 2 Mcterri sandwiches. She asked me for my order number, and according to the message on my phone it was 1633. She couldn’t find that order. She ultimately gave me the two sandwiches for $7.32, which was basically giving me a free sandwich. I asked her, “what did I do wrong” and she wasn’t able to answer me. So I drove away feeling somewhat good about their service. About 3 hours later I noticed an email from McD’s stating I was charged $14.32 for the 2 Mcterri sandwiches. So now I was charged over $21 for the 2 sandwiches. I drove back to McD’s. The door was open but I was told to go to the drive thru. I asked that person if she was the manager. She confirmed that she was. I explained the situation to her. She showed me a package labeled 1633, and told me it had been sitting there for several hours. I had a somewhat hard time explaining I was charged over $21 and wanted the $14.64 refunded to me. She asked me if I ate my sandwiches. I replied “yes”. She offered to refund me $7.32 since I got one sandwich for free. I said I didn’t believe that was right. She then offered to refund me $7.32 and to give me the two sandwiches that had been sitting on the counter. I declined, reiterating my request to have my $14.64 refunded to me. She then offered to make 2 new Mcterri sandwiches AND refund me $7.32, saying that was the best that she could do. I stated that was perhaps the middle higher ground (though I felt it wasn’t the right thing) and agreed to that. So now the “new” sandwiches are sitting in my fridge. The food in these past two visits has been fine, not great. Service experience seems about the usual. I guess I was spoiled in Japan, and need to lower my...
Read moreI was there around 3pm when the manager and one of the workers were arguing about an order. The manager named ROMMIE needs to treat their employees with RESPECT. The old lady that went home is a well respected and lovable worker by MANY customers ! To see the manager act the way she did was WRONG in all ways. The request from the customer was SIMPLE , the daughter is allergic to the cone and would like to have ONE of the 4 ice creams WITHOUT THE CONE. The manager got mad for no reason and sent ALL 4 ICE CREAM CONES WITHOUT CONES and thats obviously NOT what the customer wanted ! Manager ROMMIE needs to DO WHAT IS ASKED/REQUESTED from the CUSTOMER because CUSTOMER SATISFACTION IS KEY and HER PRIORITY AS A MANGER IS TO TAKE CARE OF HER WORKERS ! What she did today was UNACCEPTABLE and NEEDS TO GET CHECKED ! The worker deserves all the best because CUSTOMERS LOVE AND ADORE HER ! SHE DESERVES A RAISE BECAUSE SHE BRINGS JOY NOT TO MYSELF BUT TO OTHERS ! Also, communication between the outside and the inside WORKS if one from the DINING WEARS A HEADSET ! Communication works TWO WAYS ! SOMEBODY NEEDS TO BE WEARING A DAMN HEADSET TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE PERSON WORKING DRIVE THRU !
To the worker that walked out of work because of this, I want you to know that you are doing a GREAT JOB working and bringing smiles the customer and myself. It is ALWAYS pleasure coming to mcdonalds and being served with your kindness and precious SMILE ! so THANK YOU for bringing JOY to the customers that comes through the DRIVE-THRU !
Manager ROMMIE , DO BETTER !...
Read moreThe day crew is fine. The night crew? The franchise owner tries to save money by hiring as little people as possible. The wait time, not only to receive food, but to place an order, is insanely inadequate. On top of that, for the dine-ins, the crew will literally ignore the counter in order to fulfill the drive-thru orders. Waiting for 10+ minutes without even an acknowledgment is the norm. The crew doesn’t mind if you leave in frustration. It’s one less customer to worry about. When I asked if anyone has the counter, a lady in the yellow hazard vest, without making eye contact, said “, “Will you wait for a moment?” The manager in the grey top wouldn’t look at me. Sometimes they hide in the back. In summary, the evening service is horrendous. Avoid at all costs. Give your money to a franchise owner who takes pride in how the customers...
