This was a very pleasant surprise and an amazing meal at this Thai restaurant a friend told me about and decided to check out. The restaurant very visible from the road, but can be a bit challenging with limited street parking in the area. I recommend parking in the municipal parking located in the back which can be accessed from the side streets off of Waialae Ave.

One thing to note is that this place is a real Thai restaurant run by Thais. Many Thai restaurants are actually run by Laotians. Nothing wrong with that, but sometimes the flavors can be a bit different as well as the offerings.

We started with the calamari as our appetizer which as a great call. The calamari was made from large chunks cut from a filet and not small strips or rings. They were cooked perfectly in a golden crisp batter. Some of the best I have ever had.

Now I normally shy away from fried rice because here in the States, they just don't cook it properly and it is more like tossed rice with cheap frozen vegetables and some precooked protein added in. Their pineapple fried rice was actually properly cooked with lots of premium ingredients and the shrimp was added to it at just the right moment to be cooked with it to perfection.

The pumpkin curry was a healthy savory delight. I had it with chicken and it was perfect, but if you are a vegetarian, they offer it with tofu as well. It was very flavorful and had a nice balance of vegetables, sauce and protein to make it the perfect curry that was good for you, but tasted amazing at the same time.

If you are health conscious, vegetarian, or vegan, they got lots of options. However, if you like meat like I do, they do offer everything in the standard vegetarian, chicken, beef, shrimp, and fish options.

Along with the great food, the service was very nice and supper friendly. It is a little slow after placing your order to get your food, but they prepare everything fresh for you without cutting corners, so it is well worth the little extra wait.

I will return to this place for sure and highly...

To Thai For is hands-down my favorite spot for Thai food! The staff are incredibly kindhearted and thoughtful. They've truly made me feel like part of the family. Since it's a family-owned restaurant, you can feel the love and care that goes into every dish and every interaction.

My go-to dishes are the Green Curry and Pad See Ew (they never disappoint). The Green Curry is rich, flavorful, and pairs perfectly with sticky rice. As for the Pad See Ew, it's ideally moist (unlike other places where it can turn out dry), and always hits the spot. If you're sensitive to spice, definitely chat with your server and they'll help you find the perfect level for your taste!

Recently, they offered a special in August: Khao Soi and OMG, it instantly became my favorite. The creamy coconut curry, tender chicken that falls right off the bone, and crispy egg noodles on top... it's an absolute must-try.

They've also introduced a happy hour menu (Wed-Sat), and I highly recommend the spring rolls! Super fresh and flavorful.

When it comes to drinks, I'm addicted to their Thai tea. It's creamy, sweet, and totally crave-worthy.

Even when I'm not there for a full meal, I love grabbing one of their desserts. The banana lumpia and mango sticky rice with ice cream are my go-to sweet treats.

The vibe of the place is super relaxing and family-friendly. Kids (and adults, lol!) can enjoy coloring books at the table. There's also a bar in the front, which is a great spot if you're dining solo. Whether you're going for lunch, dinner, or just dessert and a drink, To Thai For is the kind of place that keeps you...

Worst food for vegans/vegetarians, there was fish sauce in the red thai curry and the waitress did not admit to the fault. We called beforehand to check if curries could be made without fish sauce and they said it was possible. We specifically requested for no fish sauce in the curries, but there was definitely fish sauce in the 3 out of 5 curries ordered. Waitress was not even the slightest bit accommodating to the issue. She said we could order a new curry, but we would be charged for both, as she said it was made specifically vegan. Very dissapointed in this restaurant. The restrooms were also dirty and not well looked after. Asked for a 4 out of 5 spice level and it was much hotter than typical medium...

This place is delicious. One of my favorite food joints that right down the street. I love to get it for takeaway, they box it up for ready transport, are fast and offer generous portion sizes! I highly recommend their Tempora Veggies, some of the best I've ever had, and their Pad Thai, with fish. Be careful with how spicy you ask for, spicy is very spicy, although I'm a fan of hot and spicy food, I would go a little mild unless you are a fan of spicy Curry. Portion sizes are very generous for the prices, I would definitely recommend this place for good food on a budget, and their dining area is nice and their bar is a great place for a cheap date.

We decided to try this restaurant out today. We got the soft summer rolls, yellow curry and Pad Thai. I am a little picky about food at restaurants but this was a great choice. Server was attentive and had our ordered food to our table very quickly. I was going to take most of my Pad Thai home with me but the person with me finished it up and also all of his curry. Plan to take my sister here while visiting for her 70th birthday. Also, plan for this to be my go to Thai restaurant from now on.

I came here for the reviews and the punctuation on google maps, but honestly not worth it. The food no real thai flavor, it lack very much in every plate we order. Expensive and at the entry there's a sign that says every item it's 1 more dollar. The portions not generous like thai original food it used to be. Not coming back for sure. If you are hungry go but if you're looking for thai good food go somewhere else. Don't order the spring rolls !!! Reap off !!
