Cookie Fix Brock's Gap — Restaurant in Hoover

I visit my in laws once a year and this was one of the rare occasions I got some down time to explore! After getting my nails done in this area, I walked down to this cookie bakery. I bought 20 cookies for about $74 and bought a frozen cookie dough “Amish Friendship” for my momma in law for another $22. Yes, the cookies are a bit steep at $3 to $4 a cookie, but it was a special occasion and well worth it. I bought essentially one of each cookie, and the gal packed up my 3 boxes and explained the history of how this bakery is now on its 10th location! I only bought four cookies. Two were lemon and two were Blondie crunch. They put all four in the same box and so the Blondie crunch tasted like it had lemon in it as well!! 🤢 They should know not to ever put lemon cookies with any others. Also the cookies were very dry from the beginning as if they were old. A heath bar white chocolate chip and pretzel cookie does not taste good when it also tastes like lemon! Last, I'm embarrassed to say that I paid over $12 for 4 cookies!!! I had no idea how much they cost but they were regular size cookies and I couldn't imagine they would be that expensive! I wanted to give a review for service and the taste of the sample cookie I was given by the owner(Mr. Chapman). I changed their mailbox lock for them(postal worker), and when I went inside to give him the keys, I was greeted and was offered a cookie for service, lol. It smelled wonderful in there and the 🍪(chocolate chip)was very good! Lord knows I didn't need it, but I appreciate the kind gesture. I'll definitely be back with my daughter in the near future.
