MELT — Restaurant in Hoover

My date and I decided to get melt on a Saturday night around 5 When we got there the place was pretty empty there was 3 other tables there eating I ordered a flyin Hawaiian We got our food just as we were about to eat a large group of people came a guy who I assumed was the manger started moving tables. The group just kept getting bigger the manger and the lead guy from the group started standing and staring at us who were still trying to eat it felt like we were rushed to eat and get out so they could sit this 40 top ( we heard them say they were excepting 40 people) everyone who was there first kinda just grab to go box and left cause it was getting loud and uncomfortable.No body kicked us out of said anything to us but you could tell they wanted us out just on looks alone. The service was good up until that point Now let's talk about food I got the flyin Hawaiian it's a ham and cheese with pineapple on a pretzel bun. It was not good at all it was dry I even tried it with mayo and it still was gross I don't understand how you can mess up a ham and cheese but they did But hey the...

Yesterday was my first time at this restaurant in Hoover. I along with 3 friends ordered salads, chef salad specifically. I got all turkey no ham or bacon. The salad came out pretty quickly. I began to eat my salad and enjoy conversation. I had almost eaten the entire meal when I saw what looked Iike a hair. I moved it around and realized it was attached to something larger and BROWN. My friends discovered a large cricket in the salad I had almost entirely eaten. I spit food on the wall. The manager returned our money for the salad. My total was $17.52 and he returned $16. He made it a point that it was not a ROACH whatever it was was not a part of the salad. I regret I didn't get a photo but I quickly lost my composure with the discovery of the large insect on my plate. I will never go back and I don't plan to eat out again any time soon. If anyone tells me I'm overreacting please imagine a dead brown (could be roach) with wings the size of a prune laid up in a salad that you have almost entirely eaten....

I was referred to Melt by a friend. I wanted a club sandwich. Its not on their menu, but I called and asked if they served them and, they do. Over the phone the service was awesome. The order taken had no problem answering my questions or customizing my sandwich, and he even suggested different condiments like the SMOKEY MAYO(we loved this at flip burger with fries). I waited maybe a minute after i arrived. My sandwich was very fresh, but the fries were not. The atmosphere is very inviting. My son asked if we could sit in and eat but I was in a hurry. The fries not being hot and fresh and the bacon or ham was salty on the sandwich are my only complaints. Even with that I still give 5 stars, because it was still good and the service was impeccable while I waited my minute. I was even offered something cold to drink while I waited. I left out and went back in to give the guy that took my order a nice tip. I SUGGEST ALL TO TRY, AND I WILL BE GOING BACK. They have more than...
