This review is for CORPORATE not the Hoover location. I have now had 2 experiences with Sleep Number customer service related 2 product quality. My first Sleep Number, we paid about $8000 for and within a few years the mattress foam started collapsing on one side and the whole foam mattress had to be replaced. They tried to charge me a pro rated amount, but finally agreed that they would cover the cost to replace it. Fast forward to my 2nd Sleep Number bed that we spent nearly $6000 on and when we first bought it, we had problems with the air chambers deflating within the first several months. They wanted us to self diagnose it rather than send someone out. I let it go out of frustration and it seemed to resolve itself. We've now owned the bed just over 3 years and the air mattress on my side would deflate overnight. I did the self diagnosis because I knew they wouldn't send anyone out and found that one of the air chambers on my side was bad. I called to file a claim under the 15 year warranty. They pro rated the warranty and charged me $170 for the replacement air chamber that I had to install myself or pay for installation. The 15 year warranty is not worth much, because they pro rate it and after a short amount of time, the customer ends up paying the bulk of the cost. We are getting ready to build and was looking at purchasing more for the new house, but won't be buying again. Love the bed, but...

Just so you know... if Jeff had any interest in becoming a leader in the restaurant biz or preschool biz, I'd do everything in my power to steal him away from sleep number.
My purchase was the direct result of Jeff's professionalism and attentiveness. You see, I already own one and am a real fan. I didn't come into the store to buy a bed, but for warranty service on my old bed!
While in the store in Hoover to pick up air hose caps for testing, it occurred to me that my little sister, recently diagnosed with a recurrence of cervical cancer, would really benefit from a sleep number bed. Josh made it almost impossible for me NOT to buy one!
Sleep number is the only bed we'll ever use, but Josh Foxworth should be working as a trainer for every front-facing staff member at...
Read moreThe new store (after their leaving the Galleria Mall) is much larger, cleaner, and has all the latest beds and accessories in stock and on display. Getting to the location is super easy from I-459 but leaving is a bit complicated because of the intersection with large cross traffic volume. The real issue to talk about is Josh and Nathan "Nate" Casimir... their knowledge of the products, professional attitude, friendly demeanor, and the memory of their customers' lives, likes, and situations is phenomenal. Based solely on these two gentlemen we followed them to their new location even if others are closer to my house. These two employees are true assets to Sleep Number and are models of customer service excellence! Keep...
