Smoothie King — Restaurant in Hoover

Poor customer service over the phone. I called to see if I could have a poorly made smoothie that I purchased at one location remade at this location (since I was now closer to this location). I could have provided my receipt from a few minutes ago as well as the poorly made smoothie. The employee said no but said I could come in and purchase another one from them. Was he trying to be funny? I expected more from Smoothie King. They don’t have to worry about me getting another bad smoothie from them. They are canceled as far as I am concerned.

Dear Smoothie King,

Smoothie prep area was not clean, the container holding the fruit and vegetable ingredients were visibly filthy and did not have a proper label. The water that is used to rinse the ice cream scoops was visibly filthy and had an assortment of remnants from various ingredients that was molded.

These issues can lead to cross contamination exposing customers to anaphylaxis from food allergies.

In addition there is a broader concern to public health because of the bacteria/mold that was growing around and inside of the containers that held the ingredients.

Smoothie King please take this into consideration when inspecting your franchise locations.

Hello,my name is Pamela. My husband and I stopped by the Smoothie king on montgomery highway yesterday after I got out of the hospital. The atmosphere was clean,it smelled clean also. Larry who helped us did an awesome job!!!!! He was cleaning when we walked in,he had on gloves which I thought that was Grand!!! The other employees that work there never have on gloves,nor do they wipe down the counters when business is slow. I commend Larry on his cleanliness and a Excellent Attitude 💯💯💯💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾.
