Where do I begin with this dreadful experience. From the start I was placed on hold for five minutes before I even placed my order. That was a bad sign from the start but I persevered through the wait time like a champ because I was in the vicinity of a Krystal restaurant and I haven't had a Krystal for as long as I can remember. When the cashier finally asked for my order, it took so much effort to convey my order to her through the menu board/speaker. Why did it take an additional five minutes to request a 12 Krystal sack full plain with cheese, one Chik, no pickles, and 3 Chili cheese pups? How is that almost $30 is another story. The cashier REPEATS my order to me accurately and I pay for my overpriced food and then they tell me to wait around the corner in the parking lot. I wait another five to eight minutes for the food and I go to check it, and what do I find? My 12 Krystals with mustard and pickles! Mustard is tolerable to my pallette but I absolutely hate pickles, so I can't let this go. Many would say, "Just remove the pickles, " yeah, I get it, but I would still taste the pickle juice on the burger, and therefore, destroy my meal. After bemoaning the whole ordeal of having to go back through the drive-thru because of the line, the order inaccuracy, and the fact that the lobby is closed, I begrudgingly creep back into the line. When I finally get back to the menu board, I tell the cashier about the Krystals and she tells me that she remembers the order and is seemingly apologetic and very anxious to correct the order. I drive around to the same parking space I waited for my initial order and five minutes later, I was greeted with seemingly 12 plain Krystal burgers with cheese and a personal apology from the cashier (she didn't bring the incorrect order). I checked the first three, four Krystals at the top of the bag; they were fine so I drive home. I get home around 20 minutes or so (that's how far the restaurant is away from my home), ready to eat my meal. Guess what I find? A KRYSTAL, ONE SOLITARY KRYSTAL WITH MUSTARD AND PICKLES!!! The amount of spite in doing something like that is incredible! I wasn't even upset. I chuckled to myself and self declared never go to another Krystal restaurant ever again. This is one of the reasons why this restaurant is fading into obscurity. The experience was terrible throughout and I will do what I can to expedite the death of that franchise by not buying anything from...
Read moreMan why can’t I do 0 stars 🤣 I decided to give this place another try, already going in with helluh low expectations, and WHEW child. Where do I even start? When we were ordering, we had to repeat everything 4 times. And they still didn’t get the order right. Had to ask them to change the small fry to a medium when we pulled up to the window. We pulled up and it took about 15 minutes to get our food. The cashier tried to give us an “icee” that was completely melted and said, “if you wait a few minutes it will freeze.” She literally told us the liquid would just turn to ice like magic in 80 degree AL heat. She was deadass serious too. We laughed and we were like “uhm we’re good can we get a coke instead?” The sweet tea was disgusting sugar water. No taste of tea at all. I had to pour it out. I had low expectations for the food but dear Lord. I’ll give them a plus on the fries- they were fine- crispy, and well seasoned. But wow I’m impressed they were able to serve us the chicken that they did. It HAD to have been DAYS, if not a week old. No doubt about it. Completely rubber, inedible. I literally could not chew it. When I took a bite all the rock hard breading fell straight off. I’ve had bad chicken before- I’m talking this was inedible. The bread was stale and hard. The ADPH needs to send the health inspectors to this place. I’ll bet money they are selling old food. Last but not least, my combo was $14.25 without tax. 3 chiks, medium fry and medium drink. For $14.25. BRO. A joke. Check the pics for proof! My stomach do be hurting fr. (I know I asked for that by coming here) but this is another...
Read moreI did an online order tonight; my first time using the app. My father-in-law wanted some Krystals and asked me to bring him some. I placed my order at 4:10 pm to be ready at 5:30 pm - Order # 8347656449654784. When I came to pick up my food, the was a sign that said the restaurant was closed until further notice. I couldn't believe this when my online order was taken and 3 employees were on the inside (one was eating - appeared to be manager, two sitting down, and one outside smoking). When I walked to the door, I was welcomed with "We're closed vs. How may I help you." After attempting to explain my situation, the manager or whomever was in charge kept telling me I don't know anything about online orders or the app. They shouldn't have taken the order because we have been closed since 3. We probably won't be back up and running until 7. Look out there for a number to call to see about getting your money back. I can't see anything right now. 6 do not know what kind of service this was, but the interaction lacked empathy and professionalism. I really need my refund. Please review your security system to validate my concerns. How can I get my money? To prevent, my father-in-law from being disappointed, I drove to the Hueytown location and ordered our food. He is a cancer patient and had a taste for this food. Although I was disappointed, I am glad I didn't let this experience prevent me from bringing a smile...
