Hiro Hiro — Restaurant in Hope

I have no idea how this place has 4.4 stars. The image is of the weird colored wasabi. The photo doesn’t do it justice but it’s some weird green color. I ordered a chicken bento box and California roll. I normally order tuna or salmon but all their sushi is cooked which is beyond bizarre. It is like people in Arkansas only know how to eat fried foods. I ordered a California roll which I don’t consider real sushi but I figured they couldn’t mess it up because it is supposed to be cooked. Well the description said crab, avocado, and cucumber which is what a California roll is. But it didn’t have cucumber and it had cream cheese which is very weird.

The bento box had some weird pineapple flavored chicken, supposedly fried rice but it didn’t have anything in it. Fried rice usually has chicken and egg and veggies. This was just rice and only rice. The spring roll has some weird mayo sauce. Noting about this food...

Very good sushi place. I normally take pictures, but this style place is more of a order to go restaurant. They do have some tables for dine in, but it is more of a cafeteria style setup. If you want a bento box or sushi to go though I would definitely recommend this place. The bento chicken was very good, the only negative thing I can say is the chicken was a little dry, but put some yum yum sauce on it and it's ok. The sushi is were its at and that's a good thing. I had tried the golden dragon roll and the Naruto Roll. Both were delicious. I am not a big fan of the common California roll, but it came with the bento so I tried it and to my surprise it was tasty. Not an easy feat, but a solid 4 out of 5 stars. The 5 star could easily be earned, but I have to be wowed for that and they were close. The owner said he wanted to expand and if he can keep the same quality sushi then I encourage...

Today was my first visit and I must admit, the sushi rolls were amazing! I had the coconut shrimp roll and the Hope roll. The flavor of the coconut shrimp was delightful. The sweetness of the coconut paired well with the jalapeño. The Hope roll was smooth and delicious. The texture of both was perfect. If you have ever eaten sushi that was too soggy or dry with chop sticks you know what I’m talking about. These were spot on!
