Wendy's — Restaurant in Hope

Very poor customer service and long lines not enough staff. They have a restaurant store tablet to order from that's say skip the line. I placed my order on there and the card reader was messed up, so they give you the option to pay cash. As we sat and waited over 15minutes for our food to never be called. I walked up to the register to ask about our order, only to be told your food is not made until you pay by standing in line (which was now a long line of 10 people) and there machine was not taking card. The lady watched us place the order and not once told us as we sat and waited for our food that we had to pay before , the order would be made. She was very persistent that we stand in the long line after we placed the order over 15minutes ago before there was even a long line instead of just swiping our card and apologizing for the restaurant error. Food: Typical of what you'd experience from a Wendy's. Had a $4 for 4 (double stack burger), kids nugget meal, and a baked potato. Everything came out in a timely fashion and was at a good temperature. Fries were a bit overcooked and lacklustre, but not a big setback.

Cleanliness: Wendy's itself was clean and orderly, however the attached gas station convenience store and bathroom were not. The convenience store appeared to be a mess and the mens bathroom (despite having just been "cleaned") smelled overwhelming of urine.

My husband and I went to this location's drive thru as we traveled from Arkansas enroute to Corpus Christi, TX. We've had plenty of this chain's food over the years, but never has it been so good! We were surprised that it was far more delicious than any Wendy's we've ever been to. The burgers were fresh, cooked perfectly, not dry, buns were just right and they didn't put too little or too much toppings. Not only was the food incredible but the servers & staff were very kind, smiling, and seemed just happy to be working their jobs. Hands down the best experience we've ever had.
