I purchased this beautiful cake for my sister last week. What a masterpiece by Alicia at The Humble Cookie Shop on Maratta Road (original home of Mr. Cookā€™s)! Her attention to detail is amazing. Everything was perfect, from the cookie batter to the individually formed grapes and leaves. I especially loved her idea of using marshmallow fondant for the birthday message. The Humble Cookie Shop is a true gem. Iā€™m trying to convince them they need to open a ranch in North Carolina! Alicia and Luann are incredible to work with. If anyone needs a special cake for any reason please use this local wonderful small business!

I bought my first box today. My only regret- WHY did I wait so long?? Had the Mexican Chocolate Cookie tonight and it did not disappoint. Just the right amount of heat. Canā€™t wait to try the rest! Will definitely be back( and I am telling all of my friends!).

Absolutely love these cookies. I have them shipped to Indiana, and they are always fresh. They are packaged extremely well. I am always happy to support family owned businesses, and I love that these cookies never taste mass produced like other cookie shops.

Wasn't what I expected

Reply to your reply: My review was definitely for you. From posts that I had seen I was expecting an actual bakery, not a small shop that sells cookies on co-op. I was not happy with the extremely overpriced cookies as they were stale. I also have concerns about cookies from various kitchens for to cleanliness, children, pets, etc. I didn't put that in my review because I didn't want to discourage you but since you used it as an opportunity to question me, I figured I'd respond.

Reply to my reply: This is going nowhere. Instead of saying "I'm sorry that we didn't meet your expectations, please give us another opportunity", you continue to disparage me in an open forum ("if you had done your homework,", "our cookies are definitely not stale", etc). The FACT of the matter is that the cookies that I purchased WERE stale, and I don't appreciate being called a liar. I wish you the best, but you should probably learn a thing or two about...

I sent cookies to my niece who just started her first year in college. She received the cookies today and it was just what she needed to cure her homesick blues. She absolutely raved about them, especially the brookie cookie! Also wanted to mention that their customer service is amazing. I can be a little bit of a pain sometimes, and they were so gracious and understanding. I highly recommend this lovely...
