THE SPOT — Restaurant in Horicon

We came to The Spot on a Wednesday night, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The service was extremely slow—even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. The waitress was polite but not particularly friendly, and the girl bussing tables and making sundaes had a noticeable attitude.

I ordered a hot fudge sundae, which turned out to be a scoop of melted vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup drizzled on top—definitely not worth $7.50. The people we were with ordered chili dogs, and those took over 30 minutes to come out. We eventually had to ask for them to-go. In total, we spent an hour waiting for just two chili dogs, mozzarella sticks, and a sundae.

The service was slow. We went around 2pm on a Saturday there were about maybe 6 tables of people when we got there and we waited about 45-50 min for our food to come out. We certainly weren't expecting the long wait time especially for a hot dog, burger and grilled cheese. Our waitress you could tell was not having a good day/not very friendly and I dont recall her visiting the table other than for our drinks in the wait for our food. A few other customers complained about the wait while we were there too. All in all I understand they are still fairly new and they may have some things to work through they are worth giving another shot. 4 out of 5 stars because the food was and always is great. We didn't have to wait as long this time for our food and the service was great. My only complaint is that the portions aren't very big. There great for older folks with a smaller appetite. I do think that maybe a 2 or 3 lumberjack meal options added to the menu would be great for those packing and appetite. Our kids loved there meals as well. I would love to see a few larger portion...
