Ice Cream Station — Restaurant in Horicon

According to fb they are always open and their website says that they close at 9:30. So, we drove 15 minutes, thinking we would have a good 45 minutes till close. When we got there the chairs were on the tables and 2 of the three staff were very friendly the other one wanted us to not be there. She did not smile, or even talk to us. I got the feeling I had read the closing time wrong, so I asked what time they closed. One of the friendly ones said that the times varied and sometimes they close at 7 sometimes as late as 10:30 (which is what was posted on the door). Translation, whenever the staff wants to go home, who cares if customers might drive there thinking that they are open until 9:30. So, we quickly decided what we wanted and ate our ice cream outside, with the bugs. Six customers came while we were there and who knows how many showed up after 9 only to find them closed. And while we were still sitting outside, at 9, they locked the door and turned the lights off. I will never go back nor will the 5 other...

The ice cream station

Located on the corner of Lake St(Hwy 33)and Cedar Street in the quaint, picturesque, town of Horicon you will find a little gem. The Ice Cream station has much to offer its residence and guests. From pizza, to hamburgers, french fries to hotdogs. The highlight of the visit was their 32 YES…32 flavors of Cedar crest ice cream…you won’t be disappointed.

If you have a large group I noted the following outside: 4 picnic table sitting six people each as well as 6 benches sitting three people each

Plenty of parking with a 30 second walk into...

Great for a quick ice cream for sure and really there is nothing better than a hot summer day and you go to treat yourself and the family with some good old fashioned ice cream parlor. I do have to say though on this last visit there we had waited over 30 mins for food. So, with that in mind maybe save the food part for a kitchen with more staff as in any other kind of place such as this food is good within 10 Minutes and most definitely not 30. This gives the feel and atmosphere of an ice cream shop but yet makes you wait like a restaurant at lunch time. Their service and prices were great and had plenty of room...
