This is a family place. A great place to bring kids; they’ll find plenty on the menu that they will enjoy. Portion sizes are generous, not obnoxiously large. Some dishes are a little heavy on the garlic. Value is not great, but there is a full bar and an entire section of the restaurant dedicated to desserts. I’m giving Angelo’s an average rating, but for perspective, I don’t give out many 5 star reviews, and there are plenty of 4 star Italian restaurants in the area that I prefer. If you are looking for a place to bring your kids, or to host a large group, Angelo’s would be a good choice. Service was fast and professional. Our server George was very attentive and personable, and he had plenty of help from the bussers/food runners. Dining room is bustling, but not cramped. Good quality, real Italian bread is served here, which is something most other Italian restaurants in the suburbs can’t seem to manage. A plate of dried herbs and a container of olive oil is served with the bread. Manhattan clam chowder was just okay. Burrata appetizer – “served with roasted peppers & tomato bruschetta”, was below average. The burrata itself was fine, but everything felt like it just came out of the refrigerator; it would have tasted better at room temperature. Bruschetta bread was toasted to crouton level, tomatoes were tasteless. Roasted peppers were a nice touch, but why were they chilled? Large pieces of sliced garlic seemed to have been just tossed in. Presentation was very nice. Chicken Marsala was just average. No noticeable Marsala wine flavor; sauce was thick and brown. “Forest mushrooms” were just standard rough-cut button mushrooms. Lots of garlic. Lasagna Nonno Alfredo – “homemade lasagna with bolognese meat sauce, cheese, bĂ©chamel and tomato sauce”. This was also average. Where was the bĂ©chamel sauce? It seemed pretty basic, with just tomato sauce, ground beef, and mozzarella cheese. (Adding ground beef to standard tomato sauce does not make Bolognese.) The lasagna was room temperature in the middle, and like lava on the edges. Cutting it up and mixing it around evened out the temperature. Side of broccoli rabe was interesting
A ton of garlic. Plenty of oil. It didn’t seem particularly fresh; I’m guessing it was sitting on the griddle for a long time. I finished it all, so it was not lacking in flavor. The tomato sauce served on the pasta here is well balanced – not too sweet or tart, but lacking any other flavors apart from tomato. I’m guessing it is the same sauce they use on their pizzas, where you don’t want a distinctive sauce that stands out. Dessert was cream puffs & gelato – not bad. Aperol spritz is not supposed to be a layered drink; bartender should give it a stir so that club soda is not the first thing you taste.

The food is good, but the atmosphere and service is excellent! They hosted a 30th birthday party for me and the private secluded area to entertain guests is wonderful along with the excellent service provided. I love their sauce, and I'm picky when it comes to sauce and they have GOOD sauce. We had Chicken parm, and Salmon and both were very good. The gnocchi was phenomenal, so good my son ate it, and he doesn't like potatoes unless they are fries. I would definitely recommend to family and friends for both good food and excellent service. Again I can't say enough to thank the servers for their help and excellent customer service. I am happy that the party went so well and we all throughly enjoyed our night at Angelo's Restaurant!!

We had a phenomenal large family dinner for my son‘s birthday last night and it was remarkable! I absolutely love their meatball appetizer it is my absolute favorite! We have been to Angelo’s so many times, it definitely is one of our favorites. It is definitely a family oriented restaurant and is kid friendly for sure. Our server was more than accommodating last night, their staff is very friendly and always go over and beyond for their guest. Let’s not forget how delicious their numerous meals and amazing desserts are!! Can’t go wrong with a meal at Angelo’s Kitchen!

First time here was when I was with out of town guests. My daughter was referred here by a friend of hers. I expected to see more pizzeria less restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't just a pizzeria it also includes a bar.

The negatives for me and my guests was not having an experienced server. The young gentleman who took our orders had a few issues. One not asking everyone for a drink. This may have happen because my party came just a few minutes apart. Still they missed their water and later their main drink. Then the one issue with my specific order was he took my order of a side of mushrooms but never came back to the table with them. What's worse is he didn't check with everyone to see if everything was okay. He may have stopped at the other end of the table but I never saw him after my food was served. I actually had to ask another person who brought me my side even after I already had finished most of my meal. Which in my humble opinion was a tad expensive. Normally that in itself doesn't stop me from trying out the restaurant but I just didn't feel the cost matched the food experience, and neither did some of my guests.

I always have respect for a owner who actually responds to his reviews on Google. However if you look at the responses they feel very much cookie cutter. No personal touch. I am glad they do look at them, which is a big plus.

I (and my guests) give this a average review. From being a tad expensive to missing drinks and food. I may have asked for a very older and specific drink that they had to look it up before they could offer it. The meal did take awhile to get back to the table but I hope this was only because of how large the table was.

I "may" try this again. I hope to give them another chance. I don't normally review unless I go more than once.

EDIT: Some how my review for another restaurant was mixed up with this one. I finally had the chance to correct it after talking with my guests. I apologise for the mistake. I have now correctly edited to reflect our...

Walked in on a Saturday night, already expecting a wait. We asked for a table for 2, and were told “we don’t have any, you can go sit in the bar area.”

Excuse me? Since when do we not properly greet customers, and if there is a wait start a wait list? Have things changed THAT much since the days I was a hostess?

We asked if we could put our name down, to which she agreed. We told her we would be waiting at the bar.

We found seats at the bar and got some drinks, not thinking it would be very long especially since she didn’t give us a time for the wait.

About 30-45 minutes now passes, and the couple next to us finally had gotten a seat. Since we knew they were not there much before us, we figured we would be seated fairly soon.

A few minutes pass, and we go up to ask how much longer which it is now about an hour we have been waiting.

We’re then told it would be about 60-90 minutes.

I’m sorry
WHAT?! We’ve already been waiting for an hour, and now you’re telling us ANOTHER possibly 90 minutes?

The bartender could sense my frustration, and I let her know how displeased we were with the hostess.

She apologized, and honestly if she had not been so kind and understanding we would have left.

Since the bartender was so nice, we decided to stay and just sit at the bar.

I HATE sitting at the bar, which is why we didn’t originally sit there. I find it very impersonal when having a nice date night.

So let me say again, the ONLY reason we stayed was because of that bartender.

The food was delicious, as were the drinks.

I’m sure we will attempt to go back again, but this time make an...
