Ordered chicken rice and cheese sauce over the phone for pick up. I'm not good at pronouncing Spanish words so I communicated multiple time I would like chicken and rice topped with white cheese sauce, she said a name I didn't know so I said maybe its called Pollo loco, I'm not sure just chicken rice toped with cheese sauce. This is what my husband brought home 2 orders of. for $30+. When I called, she kept saying next time order this.... (I can't pronounce it, so I can't spell it), and you received what you ordered. I hung up and took it back and asked for a refund after arguing with her over how I'm sure it was my miscommunication that made the mistake but I would like a refund as we're not going to eat this she kept saying it's not her fault and all she is going to do is throw it away, girl same. She did not once offer to fix it and acted like it was a huge inconvenience. I wanted a refund. After being a customer only to them for 10+ years, I'll go down the road to the other one or make it at home. Ended up walking out without the food...
Read moreI have always ordered the gordito meal. It's on the drive through menu. It's one of the few things I can swallow ok after surviving cancer treatment on my esophagus. I was told today I could not order it in the restaurant. I asked why and told it's for take out/drive thru only. So I am not ordering anything. When I asked to talk to someone about it. No one could speak English all of a sudden. I'm writing this review as my daughter and grands are eating. Their order was pieces out to them instead of brought all together. Very sad day to be at El Padrinos. We will not be back, after how rude the mgr. was about saying no and walked away when I asked why if it's all made in the same kitchen. I would give no stars if it were an option. Horrible customer service and is now loosing a 4 yr customer and any and all guest of mine that come in for a visit. Absolutely rude!!!!!! We have too many other Mexican restaurants to be acting the...
Read moreTheir idea of a chimichanga burrito is pathetic and nasty. Ground beef! Really! 🥴👎1st of all the chimichanga burrito should be fried, crispy and slightly toasted on the outside with authentic ranchera sauce and is usually made up of shredded chicken but the original is definitely shredded beef and is not topped off with queso blanco but authentic Mexican melted cheeses that complement what a real chimichanga should taste like. If you go to your local market's freezer area and buy Jose O le's chimichangas you can definitely get a better feel for what a real chimichanga should taste like. Willing to pay a bit more for authentic Mexican food. ....,Or have my beautiful Mexican wife Sofia make us some. Unfortunately I must also help her with other kitchen duties. I attached a copy of a picture of what a chimichanga should look...
