Was hoping for better based on 4.8 stars but I guess for the middle of Arkansas, this is as good as it gets. People were friendly and food was delivered quickly. All a good start. But overall, everything felt frozen and reheated. Gyoza, from the freezer. Fried rice, bland with no flavor. Steak, edible for a very low grade of meat but cooked well. Unfortunately very little taste. Surprisingly, the shrimp were actually delicious so good work there! I really really wish it would have been high star great but just average.

My fiancé and I ate here for dinner and were surprised by how good the sushi rolls were. We tried their red dragon roll, sunshine roll, and red bull roll. They were absolutely delicious. You order your food at the counter and pay for it first, which is a little different from regular sushi places, but honestly, we preferred it that way. We didn’t have to wait at the end to pay for our food. We just got up and left. It’s a very simple, small looking place, but the food is worth every penny. Staff was friendly as well.

An unexpected delight. The table service was friendly & prompt. The food was not only amazing in flavor & portions but the presentation was 5 star. The atmosphere would never lend you to think it was first class dining. Unfortunately no beer or wine service, but clearly a local haunt because the place packed & we quickly realized why it's such a fan favorite. A must do place to experience when in Hot Springs Village!

My husband and I went to this restaurant for the first time last night. I ordered sushi and my husband ordered a hibachi steak and shrimp dinner. All food was excellent with large portions. My husband and I were a little disappointed about the restaurant not serving any beer, Japanese beer, wine, or sake. During our time at the restaurant we observed more take out customers than dine in customers which could be due to the fact that the restaurant does not serve alcohol and that the restaurant is quite casual with out any sushi bar. My husband and and I truly enjoyed our food, will be back often but may opt to take our food home to enjoy an alcoholic beverage with our delicious Japanese meal. I have been to many sushi restaurants in several states and cities and Village Hibachi is far fresher and better than most. I have ordered many different sushi rolls on pretty much a weekly basis since our first visit to this wonderful restaurant probably 6 months ago and ALL are delicious. Highly recommended by my husband and I that live in Hot...

Ate here tonight with f&f. I ordered the 12 piece Sashimi (4 different fish, 3 pcs of each) with a California Roll. the Calif Roll was cut into 8 pcs and was averge taste, nice presentation. The Sashimi was without a doubt, some of the worst I have eaten. (For reference, i have 27 trips to Japan so I know what Sushi/Sashimi should be) The salmon tasted old and was mushy consistancy. The Tuna was warm, had little taste of any kind of fish at all and mushy. Fish #3 looked flakey but was mushy and had a very mild and old fish taste. Fish #4 had appearance of Tofu, a mushy chew, and no fish or shellfish flavor at all. It had no flavor period. When I brought it to the attention of the waitress she simply said "Oh" and took my plate away. This was my first and last time to eat here. I gave it 1 star because you can't...

My band I play in was in town for a gig, so my girlfriend and I decided to eat here and we were not disappointed! This was the best hibachi I've ever eaten! I had the steak and shrimp and both were cooked just right. Some hibachi places tend to over cook shrimp, but they got it just right. They also cooked my steak just the way I like it. My girlfriend has teriyaki chicken and she was pleased with hers as well. The rice and veggies were amazing as well! The portion sizes are good as well so be sure you come hungry. The service was excellent as well as the staff is super friendly. I can't recommend this place enough. I live an hour away from here and would have no issue driving here again to eat. If you love hibachi, do not pass...
