Campus Cafe — Restaurant in Houghton

I don't understand The Cafe. The food isn't great, but it is excellent given the location. It's not cheap, but it is affordable. They provide jobs for students. They provide sustenance to the destitute. And it's a convenient place to hang out with your friends and bash your heads against a table while you do your physics homework.

Never in all of my educational career, in all of my travels to far-off places, intra- or inter-continental, have I found a place like The Kafe. The Cayf is an irreproducible thing of beauty.

Get the fried cheese curds. Physically feel your heart as it begins to hate you for your life decisions. Do it over again next week. Love this place. Embrace it. You will miss it.

Since the takeover with Chartwells, things are missing from the menu, more expensive, and half the time the grill isn't operating. Respect to the cafe workers, they're doing their best, but new management is really bringing...

Cafe melt is a classic. They also have Jalapeno ranch. Onion rings leave a lot to be desired, but the cheese curds are amazing if you can handle the bowl movements...
