My stepson suggested this restaurant because he's eaten at an Akashi in Spring and likes the avocado rolls, so we came here and I was optimistic at first because it was so crowded that I thought it must be good, but I was immediately disappointed with the whole experience. We stood at the door for a few minutes before we were even greeted, and the first person to do so just said, "Its going to be a 15 minute wait," not bothering to ask how many in our party and rushed off. After the wait, we were taken to the table which sat 4 but we were 5 in our party. The server told me that for a party of 5 it was going to be a 35 minute wait, and I reminded her that were were not asked how many, so she apologized and sat us at the table and grabbed another chair to accommodate us. It must have been 10 minutes before we were acknowledged, no drink order - NOTHING, and finally it was only to tell us that they were waiting for the 5-top table to be cleared off. We would have been perfectly fine to have stayed at that table to order and eat, but we weren't even asked. We were shuffled to the new table but generally ignored, but we chose to stay because we had already invested so much time and it was a school night so going anywhere else would be time consuming at that point. They ended up messing up my stepson's order, and my daughter, father, and I were each disappointed in the quality of our dishes. The prompt replacement of my stepson's order and the atmosphere are about the only good aspects I...

I have been coming here for years, and they have always been delicious. Yesterday, I ordered my usual Singapore noodles to go. When I returned to the office, there was no curry on my noodles. I called and spoke with Jesse, who was super nice and apologetic about the mess up. She told me to come by tomorrow, and she would make me another order, no problem. I called the next day and was put on with the manager. She begins yelling at me in broken English, saying, “you have to order extra curry when you want extra.” I tried to explain to her that there was no curry on the noodles. She rudely interrupted me, so I raised my voice and told her, “LISTEN, let me finish my sentence!” She then tells me to calm down. My response was, “don’t tell me to calm down; you need to let people speak without interrupting; that is rude.”

My husband went to pick up the remake and, to his surprise, was approached with the same attitude (huge mistake). She yelled at him, and he quickly responded with his yell. She then calmed down and gave him the order. My husband is so upset that I can now no longer spend our money here. He believes she was the manager or owner.

I am highly disappointed in this place. Whomever this woman is, you have lost a customer. If you don’t like people, open a different business. Your attitude is nasty, and your customer service skills are lacking. DO BETTER!! Customers beware!

The pics are what I received yesterday vs. what I received today. Huge difference. Your fault,...

Had dinner today thought of giving a try to a new place since we love Sushi and we decided to go there today and it will be our last. The server was awesome courteous and friendly not her fault at all what we experienced today. I asked her for a refill on our Water and after taking a a second sip I noticed something was floating in the water it seemed like a roach or some sort of bug. I called my server discreetly not to make a scene told her and she took my cup and what seemed like her boss that he seemed too busy to come an apologize to me directly didn't do anything or said anything the only thing I heard him telling him was well give him another water i was like wow ok. So since I got grossed out of whatever was floating in my cup didn't get to enjoy the rest of the Sushi had to ask for the bill and leave. Again not our servers fault it's poor management I wasn't asking for anything or expecting anything but I would had liked an apology from the manager or owner directly because if that I will not return nor recommend this place to any one. Because if it had been my restaurant and inwas running or was in charge I would had done something for that guest the little things go a long way and keeps people coming back but not this place I'm really disappointed I wish I would taken a picture of the bug...

Akashi Asian Bistro & Sushi Bar is a hidden gem in Kingwood, TX. I've been eating here for years and have never been disappointed. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the service is reliably great. I especially love the sushi, which is made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The rolls are always perfectly sized and packed with flavor. The sashimi is also a must-try, as it is always melt-in-your-mouth tender. In addition to the sushi, Akashi also offers a wide variety of other Asian dishes, including Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese. I've tried many of the dishes on the menu and have never been disappointed. The kung pao chicken is a particular favorite, as it is always cooked to perfection and has just the right amount of spice. The service at Akashi is always top-notch. The servers are friendly and attentive, and they are always happy to make recommendations. I've never had to wait long for my food, and it always arrives hot and fresh. If you're looking for a delicious and authentic Asian dining experience in Kingwood, TX, Akashi Asian Bistro & Sushi Bar is the place to go. The food is consistently excellent, the service is great, and the atmosphere is always inviting.

The menu is 4 pages FULL of creative 1 of kind sushi rolls, hand rolls, sashimi, appetizers, soups, dinner plates, ect. Great drink selections from beer wine and cocktails. The service was superb! We had spicy Edamame and the ahi tuna tower for appetizers, 2 different kinds of sushi rolls for dinner & some perfectly warmed great tasting Sake to drink. Everything was excellent!!
