Starbucks — Restaurant in Houston

I'm major Starbucks junkie!!! I get the same 2 drinks EVERY TIME I go, & not only do I make a point to go once a day, its not uncommon to go twice in one day on at least 3-5 days in one week. Doesn't seem to take more than 4 or 5 visits to a new location before they already know me as if I've been going for years! I just happen to visit the Northpark Starbucks in Kingwood one day after seeing that my usual "Frap House" was closed due to the virus. It's the 2nd closest to my house, so approx 40 miles there & 40 miles back. I used the ever so handy mobile order feature on my app, arrived, got my fix, & made it about 15 miles back before tasting either of my drinks. They were BOTH WRONG! I was hurt! Why didn't I just take a sip of each before exiting the parking lot!!! It usually only takes 1 messed up order for me to avoid a Starbucks location altogether. BUT after weeks of driving even further to the 3rd Starbucks location in Kingwood, I thought I'd save a few miles, gas, wear & tear on my car, & give em another shot. At 1st I was a tad worried I'd be wasting my time, especially since all remaining open locations were strictly drive thru, & like the rest, had a line long enough that I was backed up on the street. To my surprise both of my drinks were exactly as ordered & both tasted like it was the 1st time I'd had them! The staff was super friendly, moved at a fast pace, & definitely redeemed themselves from my 1st visit. I've gone back about 5 times since........would be more if my usual location hadn't opened back up yet, but I still paid them a visit today bc I didn't arrive in civilization until after the early closing of my usual. I would definitely recommend this Starbucks location to anyone who finds themselves on Northpark Dr in Kingwood. After all these years I now make a point to try my drinks before leaving the lot, & because this location redeemed themselves & have not failed me again since my 1st visit, I only see it right to give them the full 5 stars!!! Chad is wonderful so this review is not about him. When it’s Chad working I know my coffee will come out amazing. But I want to talk about the girls working around 2 pm today 3/13/24. Every time they’re working they’re unpleasant, not a single hello or have a good day. Today in particular annoyed me because I always get the same thing, and it seems when they are the ones working (I’m a daily customer…) my drink is never right. I pay extra for caramel on my drinks and today i sent it back because it didn’t have it. Boy you would have thought I requested a million dollars. Then as I was pulling away they had the audacity to complain about it… no thanks. Sorry I asked you for what I paid for. Get more people like Chad. He’s cheery, kind, friendly and if he’s ever had a bad day you wouldn’t have been able to tell. Both my daughter and I look forward to the days we see him, he’s kind and always makes sure the order is correct. $7 for a coffee is a lot to leave unsatisfied and I’m going to start sending drinks back if they’re not correct. It happens too often and I’m wasting my money. Read the order and do it...

Anytime the girls are working, horrible customer service. All in bad moods and never in the "happy to please the customer" mindset. 3x my mobile order has been messed up or not made and when my card has already been charged I simply ask to be accommodated the next morning for the inconvenience because on my way to work I don't have time to sit there while they make a new drink, hence why I place a mobile order. Additionally, anytime I come inside the store and am left waiting because mobile order got canceled, nobody dares to make eye contact or help. I get it, the mornings sre busy but part of the job is to ensure every customer has everything they need. This doesn't happen with the guys though, they see someone standing and they are quick to ask if theres anything they can do for them.

However, 5 stars for whenever the guys work! They are always so kind with smiles on their faces and definitely have a sense of urgency and happiness in their work. The mood is completely polar opposite to the ladies....
