Let me start by saying I WANT this place to succeed. Kingwood is in need of a local cafe other than Starbucks, so I hope this criticism will be taken as constructive. The service was friendly, and the cafe was orderly and clean. I ordered a cortado. It was a bit steep on price, slightly over $5 for espresso and a few ounces of milk. It was super hot, and poured into a to-go cup, only had a light layer of foam on top. Exactly what you would expect from a Starbucks. The flavor was good, but it wasnt a proper cortado (if youre a coffee snob you understand). For a sit down cafe there absolutely should be in-house serve ware for a proper coffee experience. There is one side of the cafe that has majority of its sitting tables. That entire wall has no outlets. The other side which has more lounge seating does have outlets, but its a lounge area and less tables to work on. There either needs to be outlets that are added or switch the seating around so that the tables can have outlets nearby for plugging in computers. Give the cafe more of a personal touch. It looks like every other generic pop up coffee shop. I understand it has its challenges as a completely new business, but a few easy changes can really elevate this place to make it great. I hope this place sticks around! I really do want...
Read moreI won’t be supporting this business due to serious concerns with the owners, whose past actions toward my family were deeply inappropriate and hurtful. These individuals encouraged our underage daughter to leave home and live with them, behavior that no parent should ever have to endure from people in a position of trust.
While these people may present a friendly face, I urge others to look into who is behind it before deciding to support them. For us, this is not just about coffee, it’s about their character.
Everyone is entitled to make their own choices, but people deserve to know what kind of history is attached to this place. Please look into why these people were forced out of their pastorship. If they seek leadership in any church or community again, people deserve to know this history before placing trust in them.
By their own posts, this business was opened with donations from the community. When a café is built on other people’s money, transparency and integrity aren’t optional, they’re essential. Buzzwords like “welcoming” or “intentional” don’t erase the past actions that still...

This is more than a coffee house, it's a community, and a family, and we are honored to be a part of it. God's blessings to you all and everyone you meet.
UPDATE: They're open!! I'm doubling, no, tripling down on everything above, but now we have the espresso too.... My goodness, so smooth and rich and creamy! Coffee of this caliber is rare, it's not just good, it's great. We've already made several happy memories and we're looking forward to making many more. You've added some really wonderful people to your staff and it's been lovely getting to know them.
My daughter loves the kids corner with coloring at books. She was beside herself to see the board games there too and can't wait to play. I'm not sure if her favorite scone is cookies and cream...
