Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Houston

Horrible service! We ended up leaving without food.

The drive thru lady did not appear to speak english well enough to take simple orders. To spite us trying multiple times. She repeated asked "Is that all." While we were attempting to order. My husband ordered a "leg and thigh, NO SIDES" she responded "What do you want for a side?" "No sides!" "IS THAT ALL?" i responded "We are ordering for 3." My son in the back decided that he wanted the same thing. My husband told her "Another leg and side, no sides." "Is that all?" she says again. "No I still need to order, I respond." As I cringe because i hate being asked that when I am in the middle of ordering and we didn't even get a quick pause.

I asked "What wing meal do you have for regular fried wings?" (Thinking we can split a fry." She starts naming off the flavored ones. "I don't want those small wings, I want regular fried chicken. Just the wings." She asks if I want another type of wings that is listed." I try a 3rd time. She still can't figure out what i want. So I tell her. "Forget it, just give the guys their food!. I won't eat." Joe drives forward to the window. A lady pops her head out and says "You can't order her, you have to go there." Indicating the board we just came from.

I informed her that we had just ordered. She tells me "Oh she thought that you canceled the order." "No.we didn't cancel the order. I just gave up on getting mine. I clearly said to "give the guys their food."

She tells me "We can't hear you well through the speaker it just sounds like shhhhhhhhuuugggggg" "You can't hear us order there, but you won't tske our order here? Are you going to get the guys their order." She looks at me like I am the crazy one. Shrugs her shoulders. Clearly a "No!" I tell Joe to forget it. There is a Hartz down the road. ...

Waited at least 20 minutes for my food. Ordered 2 jalapeño bomber wraps, 2 spicy wraps, 1 pie, ice tea, and fries. I was the only car in the drive-thru and no one in the lobby. It appeared that the lady in drive thru was also preparing the food. I witnessed her using another cup to dip my tea out of the dispenser with her bare hands. I had several opportunities to cancel my order due to the many red flags, including leaving the window open in drive thru and watching the gang of flies make their way in. When I finally got my food, i proceeded to go home. Once there i saw the condition of my food and I should've stopped there. After eating the cold fries and wrap and a 1/2, I became nauseated. I didn't touch the tea, but within minutes after consuming this food, I spent the next 20 minutes bent over the toilet, exercising the demons that were in that food. I felt horrible. I will never, ever ignore the red flags again no matter what!!! The health department will be...

I enjoy Church’s but only certain locations. This is not one of them. The wait is usually pretty long and they are often out of popular items. In addition, the entire way the place is set up honestly seems pretty irritable. The drive-thru is not available many times of the day and at the very least you would hope the food would be good. Unfortunately, more than half the time in my experience it was very poor. I’m not sure if the products being ordered are that cheap or if the food needed to be thrown away but it definitely taste worse than other locations or even gas station I have been to. My only saving grace is that the lady who usually works the front has been nice to me and I appreciate that, but I can not appreciate the fact that the food taste like dirt and all the dirt I know of...
