4 star overall experience (although, I would’ve rated it was a 3.5 star experience if I could). The start of our visit started off with a piece of paper straw wrapper/trash in my partner’s water. The paper straw/trash in my partner’s water made us paranoid for what careless mistakes might happen with our food. However, we stuck it out and some of the food was very tasty. The “all meat omelette” was better than the “big breakfast” by far. Each plate was $16 which felt a bit overpriced for eggs and potatoes being the main part of each dish. My partner claimed the eggs from the “big breakfast” were pretty bland, and complained there wasn’t enough meat with his dish only coming with a small single sausage patty. In my opinion, the potatoes needed more salt or seasoning. However, there were no complaints from the “all meat omelette,” it was the star of this meal (and my partner wanted to steal more than the two bites I had already offered him lol). The pancakes were extra fluffy and the French toast was great! However, there was definitely too much butter on each of them. I suggest ordering the butter on the side so it’s not drowning before you even get to bite into it! Lastly, for this restaurant to be as expensive as it is, there weren’t any non-dairy milk alternatives. To be honest, the atmosphere is their selling point. There is lots of natural light in a beautiful, quiet location. The last note to mention were the restrooms provided (connected to the hotel) were not so great, with 5 out of 6 stalls being filthy for the...

Had high hopes for this place. And honestly we are pretty easy-going people. The decor was nice. Looks like a laid back little bistro and is located right next to a park that we bike at. Hate leaving bad reviews, but hopefully constructive criticism leads to improvement. Our server didn't smile the whole time. Our table was not wiped down. It had rings from the previous customer drinks and our menus were sticking to the table. We ordered 2 glasses of wine and a charcuterie board to start. The pour on the wine was very short. Probably under 2oz. Filled 1/6th of the glasses. But we did enjoy the fruit flies hovering around us. One landed on my wife's nose. The charcuterie board had stale bread, old prosciutto, cheap salami and plain raisins that looked like they were out of a box at Kroger. Honestly the whole board looked like it was a shrink wrapped affair, purchased from the Kroger cheese department and was a week old. No silverware or napkins when food was delivered. When we asked for silverware and napkins we were brought cocktail napkins and no silverware. Ordered "kale caesar salads" were brought regular Caesar salads, with no kale. Crab cake was literally cold and bland. Crawfish hushpuppies were like hard cornbread muffins with no crawfish. But hey, they came served on a bed of kale! We didn't finish anything we ordered except the wine. $121 bucks for that experience, before tip. Manager did a quality check at the end. He was kind, understanding and apologetic. He gave us a...

My experience here was under par unfortunately. First off the server wasn’t very attentive, took awhile to get waited on initially and then was gone for like 10 minutes, finally another server came over and took our order. For the food, the only thing I’d recommend that I tried is the Eggplant Balls, prepared deliciously and perfectly paired with the pesto and marinara. The cauliflower was ok, I didn’t find the sauces that great , one was super spicy and the other very mild flavor. There was a discrepancy with my entree, I got the braised beef tacos, the menu listed it being served with onions, tomatoes, cilantro and garlic sauce, it was served with just onions and tomato, which without the other garnishes made the taco very dry, the meat itself was very tender and good just felt it was lacking in overall flavor. When we asked about it, the waiter said that the chef didn’t think the sauce would go with that dish, even tho it was listed on the menu as having it. So the restaurant will need to update the menu or start adding it to the taco. Anyway, Niall the manger went above and beyond to rectify the matter, even offering to remove the entree off our bill, we reneged and paid for it. He comped us with free dessert and coffee. The atmosphere is very chill/upbeat, beautifully decorated interior, would not recommend for very small children. There is outdoor dining and a few yard games. Probably would not voluntarily choose to...

While the route to get there is "through the river and over the woods" and parking seems anything but assured, put your faith in your GPS and in these reviews and it will be rewarded. The owners have carved a mayhaps romantic little New American cuisine destination out of what looks to be a former stock room in the corner of a 2001 monolith plummeted to Earth. Quite a transformation! Comparing our menu to what others mentioned shows a rotating selection. Your mileage will vary, but good food is assured. We bet the house on the $25 charcuterie board and rolled aces - everything on the board was great. It was a conservative selection - creamy dill havarti, prosciutto, soprasetta, golden raisins etc, no risky choices like goat cheese or mortedella, just solid etaples. The honey was especially good - thick golden sweet. An interesting selection for a date - in fact the restaurant itself is a fairly good choice for a date as well especially outdoor seating if seasonally suitable. We also enjoyed the roasted artichoke and cheese dip. The oysters looked like a house specialty but we will queue them up for a return visit hopefully. If you find yourself in the area, looking for a gastro destination, District 7 is a tasteful and tasty choice that should be high on your list. District 9 is not (👽 🚀) - great movie though.
