How do they get the chicken so moist? It is the next level. The skin is cooked to perfection, and so crispy...I am perplexed as to how they do it, pray tell? The yeast rolls are served hot, and so light they float away and collect next to the main vent. The sides are great. I didn't get the buffet and I am glad because I would have eaten like a starving animal. My boss told me about Hartz, and I was skeptical because it is a fast food restaurant: that being said, this is not the 1st time I have been wrong. It was shockingly good, my expectations were annihilated...I may never have another expectation.

Found a roach in my white gravy! That was the first time. Gave them an second chance, then found a Fly of some sort fried to a piece of chicken in our Family chicken meal. Told me to bring back and would replace. Didn't The Very last time! Close to home and We were just getting off the highway. We decided give them another try. We got the Family tender meal. It was undercooked so took back to get them well done. It was close to closing time so i assumed they were in a hurry to get home. I understand a long day of work. So got Home and chicken was still gooey and slimy like. We didn't eat the chicken of course. Next day took back up there to show them and they said they would give me 8 piece leg and thigh only. I was like we didn't order that. Anyways I'm done with this location. The taste was always good and Fresh to order, but We won't ever be back to this location for those...

5 years ago my review: This is one of the better locations.

I went yesterday and was very disappointed. Perhaps the new owners needs some time to get on track. One major bummer was the two children of one of the employees running around the dining area then playing loudly on their devices. This is a restaurant, not a day care service. This is not the atmosphere I'm looking for in a restaurant.

As for the food. What was there was pretty decent. There were no chicken livers or tenders in the buffet when I arrived. Tenders were cooked later and added to the buffet. The fish was good, the fried chicken was good.

I'll give this place another chance, maybe...

Worst Hartz I’ve ever been to. I love going to Hartz near 1960 and Aldine Westfield every Sunday until I moved recently and came to this one. It is a waste of money. Not nearly as many portions and the food is NOT GOOD! This was the first time my boyfriend and I didn’t eat a whole plate or go back for seconds (we are mentally fat lol). It was so bad we ate a few bites out of everything on our plate and got up and threw it away. We did better ripping $20 in half! We was still hungry afterward but our appetite was killed after that. The only good part was that the workers were nice. The desert was manageable but couldn’t make up for the bad...
