I cannot recommend this ârestaurantâ.
Our visit was late lunchtime on the weekend. Establishment was at around 25% capacity.
Excitement over the prospect of possibly finding a good Mexican Food joint in the âhood was dashed from the moment we walked in.
Firstly, stood around in the entry area trying to figure out if patrons help themselves or are seated by staff, all the while being ignored by at least two staff persons. After a long waiting period of feeling invisible we interrupted their socializing to inquire, managing a disinterested flourish of a hand towards the dining area.
We mosey to a booth, my side of which immediately collapses under my 185 pounds, nearly spilling me onto the floor. No staff come to assist, let alone apologize, or even seem to notice. I reassemble the contraption and we sit.
Another inordinately long wait for the unenthusiastic server to bring menus. No greeting, no âWelcomeâ, no engagement of any kind until she (thankfully) pointed out the fact that the menu had pictures... Thank goodness for the clarification since we otherwise would have never made the association between the pictures of the food and the adjacent descriptions of the food. Such a great idea!
Another long wait later the lukewarm blandness arrived. Nobody checked on us while we ate.. not once. We did however, get to smell the stinky mop bucket in the dining area as a worker slopped it around while people are trying to eat.
We finished and were ready to get the heck outta there. Waited and waited and waited for them to notice we were through. Remembering the cloaks of invisibility we were sporting, we head over to where we were ignored the very first time. We gave them a chance to notice our presence and take our money. Finally we had to again bust up the social jabberring amongst them to pay. The money taker person couldn't make a transaction without involving another staff member and BOTH of âem having to go into THEIR PURSES. Maybe it was off the books... who cares? During this entire awkward scene it was never explained to us what the hell was going on.. total disregard.
As we are leaving we got a good veiw into the kitchen and saw two large trash cans over-heaped with trash along with piles of garbage on the floor, underfoot of the âcooksâ. ...
Read morecharged me 34 dollars for 2 quesadillas and queso. ive been going here for 3-4 years now and it use to not be like this. the past 4 or 5 times the lady at the front counter has just been rude and over charging me everytime. i asked her about it one time and she just sighed and got very upset with me instead. the prices do not match the ones stated on the menu AT ALL!!!!!!!!! that or they selectively upcharge when they feel like it. last time im ever going. its a real shame i enjoy the food most times. except the last time there was also a huge vein in my steak quesadilla. not a big deal i just picked out the nickel/quater sized cow vein in my quesadilla. really wouldnt be a big deal if the rude woman at the front counter actually charged me correctly instead of overcharging me like 13-14 dollars for half a quesadilla!!!!!!!!!!! maybe if i spoke spanish she wouldnt be so rude. ive gone with my hispanic girlfriend and she'll be nice to her though and her attitude will be way different. like come on. i dont speak spanish so you take advantage of me and be rude? yall are disrespectful!...
Read moreThe lady who serves salsa and chips was rude to me, twice. Earlier today my wife and I visited and she greeted my wife but was unwilling to greet me. She asked my wife if she speaks Spanish, and when I explained to her that my wife is Thai and doesn't speak Spanish, she gives me this look like "I'm not speaking to you, I'm speaking to your wife. And nobody there corrected her because I am not Hispanic.
We were also there two days ago and the same lady who serves salsa and chips copped an attitude because I am asking if we were going to get chips with our salsa. And when she finally brings chips out, she serves chips to customers who came in after my wife and I did. And nobody corrected her then either because I am not a Hispanic.
It seems to me that on both occasions the lady who serves salsa and chips was rude and gave us poor service, and she wasn't corrected, because she was discriminating against me because I am...
