I ordered the Cajun chicken wings, dirty rice and the #4 sauce. When the waiter brought my food it looked delicious, but when I tasted the dirty rice, it was mushy like mashed potatoes. I told the waiter and he offered to bring me another plate of the dirty rice. To my dismay, that was mushy as well, so he brought me the white rice. That rice was [okay] and it was also undercooked. The sauce tasted like a flour mix (bad choice). This was not the kicker. When the waiter brought me my ticket, I gave him my credit card, but when he brought me the receipt, I noticed another ticket with a different amount and I questioned why I had two tickets with different amounts. He try to explain the fee of 3.99% for using my credit card. I told him that I was going to dispute the amount with my credit card company, he threatened to call the police. I insisted that he do just that because what they are doing is deceptive practice and consumer fraud and that it is not legal. I put in a claim to dispute the 3.99% fee for using my credit card. This is a horrible practice that a lot of businesses are doing and getting by with it. Scenario: If they charge every customer the aforementioned fee, can you imagine the free money they are making. The average customer is going to pay at least $20 and the processing fee is close to $2 per customer. DO THE MATH! i WILLNOT BE RETURNING! 1) BAD EXPERIENCE, 2) FOOD...

This is a review solely about how they handle credit cards. I was given the wrong order which I had to bring back so that’s the first issue to how all of this started. Paid $18 bucks for my food ( the wrong order) I return to get the correct order he says owe you owe me and additional $ 10.65 I shouldn’t owe you anything since I had to return from my house to get the correct order but whatever I paid. He then says hey the card declined, I know that’s not true so I use another card all while checking my debit card. The payment had indeed went through but he said oh no it’s canceled but it should drop off.. I’ve never heard this and I managed restaurants for 10 yrs. I say well go in and reverse the charges.. I can’t bring in a bank statement when it hits and we can refund you. I was like you know what.. I’ll just call my bank and get it all refunded. Insane! The manager has no idea what he’s doing. I have never been asked to bring in my bank statement to prove you over charged me. The moment I was over charged I showed the cashier and manager. Never will I...

Tasty food, but prices have gone up TOO high over the years(they seriously reflect the dollar inflation). I used to love eating from this place, and the staff always remained great, but it has gotten too expensive to the point where a small bowl of gumbo is almost 8 dollars, and most dished have gone up 60-75% in prices in the last 10 years. I'm surprised that people are still highly rating this place since its lonely most of the times nowadays. Reviewers complain that the place is well hidden and that because of that they dont get that many customers. But I remember when this place was full of customers, so that can't be the reason. I strongly believe the prices are killing this place, as I personally feel less and less attracted to this place thru the ages. Infact, I don't think I will be returning here ever again, its just too pricey for its semi C level class type of restaurant.

If you are a person that prefers quality and decent food over price then this is your place, but dont expect to come here and eat well...

My Daughters have been REGULAR customers of this location...using #UberEats on several occasions since we moved to this side of town a couple of months ago. They ordered earlier this evening and the meals were fine except for the "Stuffed Shrimp" with fries that my Eldest daughter ate...she started getting a funny feeling & stomachache after eating 2 of the stuffed shrimp...then got VIOLENTLY SICK😔🤢😷 (Regurgitated) within the last hour...I called this location...and spoke with so called #Manager " Carlos who came up with every EXCUSE in the book for not offering a refund or a different meal to compensate for my daughter getting sick....claiming 2 or more have to be sick from same order..they ordered 3 different meals...talking about did we go to the hospital???😑😕😠...claiming getting sick within a couple of hours of eating means it had to be something else....Wow!!!!!!!!!! I'm hoping this Manager Carlos don't represent the overall concept of CUSTOMER SERVICE for #CajunTownCafe....My family and I are EXTREMELY dissapointed.

Cajun Town food is awesome! Throw a dart at the menu and you can't go wrong with your selection. I personally recommend the house specialties or the grilled salmon with #5 toping. If you like stuffed crab it is delicious however you need to ask if they have it available when you go, as they don't have it as part of their regular menu. You walk up to the counter to place the order and the friendly waiters bring your food to the table in about 10 minutes. Lunch is the only time I've come to eat here. Don't plan on visiting on Monday as they are closed, but open any other day from 11am-7:00pm (open later on some days).

I just dropped in since I havent been in the area in a while. Not much has changed and that's a good thing.I lived in the area for about 8 years and the place is still as clean and as organic as the first day I visited. The food was fresh and delicious. Outside of the place needing a few new pictures and a couple updates, I'd go here before pappadeaux. Best kept secret on the Northside. Did I mention the place is ridiculously clean! I'm sure the health department doesnt even bother to come by. Its slightly pricey but you get the bang for the buck
