Standout Meats & Menu Highlights You truly can’t go wrong with anything on Honey Pig’s extensive menu, but a few standout favorites are sure to win you over:
Beef Brisket – Marbled to perfection and thinly sliced, the brisket sizzles on the grill within seconds. Dip it in the sesame oil with salt and pepper for a simple yet sublime bite.
Spicy & Plain Pork Belly – Honey Pig offers pork belly in both plain and spicy varieties. The spicy version has just the right amount of heat to complement the fatty richness, while the plain cut lets you savor that classic pork belly flavor.
Bulgogi – This Korean BBQ staple is sweet, savory, and supremely tender. The marinade seeps into the thinly sliced beef, creating an irresistible caramelization when grilled.
Hand-Sliced Prime Rib Over Charcoal – If you’re a steak aficionado, you’ll fall in love with the rich, smoky aroma of the prime rib grilled over charcoal. It’s melt-in-your-mouth delicious and a showstopper at the table.
Galbi (Marinated Short Ribs) – A must-try Korean BBQ classic. The galbi is marinated in a sweet-savory sauce that caramelizes beautifully as it cooks, resulting in juicy and flavorful short ribs.
Banchan & Kimchi No Korean meal is complete without the colorful assortment of side dishes, known as banchan. Honey Pig’s offerings are fresh and plentiful, ranging from crunchy bean sprouts to crispy, tangy kimchi. Be sure to savor their kimchi in various preparations—some sweet, some spicy—all adding another layer of flavor to every bite.

Read moreI’ve always recommended Honeypig to my friends, family, and coworkers Since it’s a decent place for Korean BBQ in Bellaire. And I’ve been here many times with my family and friends. And those whom I recommended this place to also became regular customers.
However, after today, they will no longer have my support based on the service that I receive today. I was one of the winners of their raffle drawing, and I went there to redeem my win.
My husband and I could not dine in because we had to run errands for the day. So we decided to place an order for takeout instead. Knowing that it was a Korean BBQ place, at first, we weren’t sure if we could place a takeout. So, we called the place to see if there was a take-out option.
A girl on the phone told us yes, and when we arrived to place an order and use our winning raffle ticket. They look confused. I showed them the email, and finally, they could find the list of the winners for their special drawing.
They were hesitant to have us order takeout when we told them we wanted to redeem our raffle ticket. But finally, they said it was fine and asked us to wait for 15-25 min.
We also placed extra food and paid the difference. We waited for approximately 8 min, and shortly after, an older lady came up to us and told us that we needed to tip next time for takeout because she had to prep the food (grilled) and clean the area after prepping the food. Sorry, but excuse me.
I was brought up to believe one tips for delivery and tips a service, but not for takeout. It should be based on each individual choice. During COVID, I was content to tip for takeout to support the businesses and the servers until the business recovers. I worked in a restaurant before and completed many takeout orders; never have I come up to my customers and demanded to be tip. And if you want to charge me for grilling my food, why did you not tell me in the first place before I placed the order?
The lady was standing there for a while, holding my signed receipt to see if I was going to change my mind to tip. When I didn’t, she awkwardly walked away.
After another 10 minutes of waiting, they told us that with the winning ticket, the manager said we have to dine in. At this point, I am done. Basically, what they wanted was for us to dine in for gratuities, and since taking out will give them none of that. Don’t tell your customers that they can place takeout and have them wait for almost 20 min, demand tips, and when you can’t get the tip, you change your mind. Not once did the manager come out to talk to us. That is very unprofessional, and I do not support this type of business.
Also, in the email to redeem the ticket, it did not say “dine-in only.” Please make sure to provide a fine print next time. Better yet, I do not need a next time. Please keep your ticket and my friends, family and myself find other...
Read moreI don’t want to go bacon anyone’s heart but Honey Pig was just ok for me. I think this had more to do with me on this particular day than the restaurant.
I’ll start with the ambiance. The ambiance is really cool and modern. I thought the place was decorated cleverly with the pig theme and the seating is laid out very spaciously. There is definitely a party type of vibe in here. The music is pumping and the screens are playing videos. It is definitely a place you want to go with a larger crowd. If you are looking to have an intimate moment over lunch or dinner, it won’t happen here. This is by design, as it is standard procedure for the waitstaff to assist you with the cooking. I don’t have an issue with that in theory but sometimes I just want to have a conversation with whoever I’m eating with. No problem with waitstaff checking in but they do it a lot here. Again, this is not a complaint on the restaurant as this is part of the experience. This is more of a PSA to anyone wanting a quiet intimate meal. You should come here when you’re in the mood to be boisterous or engage with the staff.
The food was good. I enjoyed the ban chan. The one thing that I did not really feel was outstanding was the corn cheese. There was nothing wrong with it but it just tasted like corn with cheese melted on top of it. I was hoping for more of a flavor to it. All of the meat tasted great. It’s hard to go wrong with meat coming fresh off the grill onto your plate. I ordered the spicy beef tofu soup and it was good but not outstanding. The big steamed egg was also very good. The standout for me was the Korean kimchi pancake. I devoured that.
One thing that I noticed was that the service is very fast. The food was coming out faster than I could eat and the table was brimming with food. This isn’t a knock on the restaurant but something to keep in mind if coming alone or in a smaller group. The food will come out very fast.
In the end, I may have to come back with a larger group and appetite to truly appreciate the experience that Honey Pig has to offer. I would recommend this place if you are feeling festive and...
