Disappointing Visit to IHOP
I recently visited IHOP in hopes of enjoying a nice meal, but unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations. From the overpriced menu to the subpar food and bad service, this visit was disappointing in almost every aspect.
Pricing: The prices at IHOP areingly high for what essentially a casual dining chain. For the amount charged, one would expect a much higher quality of both food and service. Instead, we were met with an experience that did not justify the hefty bill.
Food Quality: The food itself was a major letdown.
Pancakes: The pancakes, which should be a highlight at IHOP, were uninspiring. They were served lukewarm, with a texture that was more rubbery than fluffy. The syrup tasted artificial, lacking the rich maple flavor one would expect. Eggs and Sides: The scrambled eggs were overcooked and dry, and the sides like bacon and hash browns were greasy and tasteless. It felt as though minimal effort was put into preparation and presentation. Coffee: Even the coffee was underwhelming—lukewarm and weak, it failed to provide that comforting, robust flavor that pairs well with breakfast.
Service: The service was another significant disappointment. The staff seemed disinterested and inattentive. Our server took a long time to take our order, and when they did, they were neither friendly nor helpful. It took ages for the food to arrive, and when it did, it was incorrect. We had to ask multiple times for basic items like napkins and silverware.
Overall Atmosphere: The restaurant itself felt poorly maintained. The tables were sticky, and the overall cleanliness was questionable. The ambiance was dull and uninviting, which only added to the lackluster dining experience.
Overall Experience: This visit to IHOP was frustrating and disappointing on multiple fronts. With high prices, mediocre food, and poor service, it's difficult to justify a return trip. I sincerely hope that IHOP addresses these issues to improve the dining experience for future...
Read moreUnacceptable and Disrespectful Behavior from a Server
I don’t usually leave negative reviews for this location, but I feel absolutely compelled to speak on this experience. My wife and I came in for breakfast, expecting the same welcoming atmosphere we’ve experienced before. Instead, we were served by an unnamed Latino server who didn’t introduce himself—just jumped straight into taking our drink orders. No big deal. After taking our food orders, he made no attempt to acknowledge or apologize when my wife’s order was wrong. Again, not the biggest issue since it was corrected within a few minutes.
However, what prompted this review—and what I find completely unacceptable—was what happened next. My wife requested a refill of her strawberry lemonade, and when he brought it back, he had the audacity to ask if she wanted a shot of tequila in it. My wife informed him that she is pregnant, expecting at least some level of awareness and professionalism in response. Instead of apologizing, this man laughed it off and said, “That’s even better, it’ll wash it down.”
That is beyond inappropriate, offensive, and flat-out disrespectful. I was stunned. To make it worse, when we went to pay, he suddenly wanted to act all friendly as if nothing happened.
Let me be clear: this is not okay. Joking about alcohol with a pregnant woman is not only inconsiderate but completely unprofessional. This type of behavior should not be tolerated by any establishment, especially one where families and expectant mothers come to enjoy a meal.
If management sees this, we deserve an apology. Last week, we had amazing service from a young lady, which is why we returned—driving 25 minutes instead of going to another location. This time, we were left dealing with this unacceptable nonsense.
For reference, the server was a short Latino man with tattoo sleeves on his arms. He conveniently left his name off the receipt, which says a lot in itself.
Management, do better. Your customers...
Read moreThis morning was one of the worse experiences I have ever had in a while. Today after a outstanding movie night with family and friends I decided to treat everyone out for breakfast before bed. When we decided IHOP I was so excited just to be let down terribly. Our waiter was a short Hispanic lady with pink hair and a attitude right along with a short heavy built manager that was very rude. I order my drink along with everyone else and also food. Drinks arrived at the table all at once and that's when I proceed to get a spoiled tasting MilkShake while multiple others in my group let it be known that they drinks was water downed. Once brought to the attention the waiter told the manager to where he proceed to come out and tell me the milk was not spoiled but he didn't want to taste it for his self. Then the waiter attitude kicked in for the rest of the night/morning. Once the food arrived only the adults meals came out while my kids had to wait a additional 15 to 20 minutes for their food by that time all the adults meal was cold because no one wants to eat before the kids eat. At the end of the meal that's when it got worse Once my wife asked for to go trays. All this time I didn't eat my food because I was disgusted out at the beginning which also made me not trust the manager nor my waiter. But my wife packed the food up to give to a homeless person anyways. The part that was the icing on the cake for us was when I asked for the military discount and the waiter rolled her eyes at me then walked away to go ask the manager if she can give us a discount even though she didn't think I was military or a veteran ( just to add on my State ID even have Army Veteran at the bottom) but she never bothered to even ask for proof. Eventually they added it on and I paid for the food and drinks but I won't even refer a raccoon to the restaurant as long as that lady and men is still there. Thanks for reading this far along but save your money definitely not worth...
