I went to this location at 12:30 am on Saturday, July 6, 2024. There was a child screaming her head off the entire time I was trying to order. Not only were the staff and I brutally aware that this child's screaming were making our interaction impossible (we could not hear each other), they seemed to encourage the child by cooing at her. When you work in hospitality, you have to have uncomfortable conversations, like "please remove your child from the restaurant, until they calm down." The staff were unwilling to take charge of the situation, making my experience terrible. I finally got my order taken (though at noon on a Saturday, this location was already out of many items I would have liked to order). Then I was asked if I would like my Kolaches heated. I said, "yes." Now, I don't know if the server thought 5 seconds was enough for seven kolaches, or if she too was distracted by the screaming child (that they refused to do anything about), but it was not enough. The kolaches wound up cold, I wound up mad, and I too wound up wanting to scream. Awful experience, ineffective staff.
Edit, in response to the restaurant owner:
I don’t judge you for their child’s behavior, but for your staff’s inaction in response to that behavior.
Your response seems to attempt to direct the fault not only at me, but at the child or their parent. If a patron walked in cursing and raving, I would hope your staff would take immediate action. If they did not, you can bet there would be in trouble in a social aspect by creating an unsafe and unwelcoming environment. Further, if that raving lunatic hurt anyone and it happened because your staff did not remove them, you could be in hot water from a liability perspective. Not because it was your behavior, but because you failed to act to protect your staff and patrons.
It is your restaurant. It is your...
Read moreFirst things first, the food is amazing & ordinarily I have great experiences with small orders. I wanted to bring to your attention an unfortunate experience I recently had at your establishment this morning, specifically regarding the customer service I received.During my visit, I encountered a situation that left me quite disappointed. The older lady at the front seemed to have an attitude when I inquired about ordering a party tray. I overheard her instructing the staff not to rush my order, stating that she had already informed me it would take 25 minutes. Note, I made a specific request for the kolaches not to be heated up to help expedite my order. Upon entering, I noticed that the trays were all full, contradicting the impression of a delay in preparing my order. There were only customers eating inside & were not ordering food inside. Furthermore, I have observed on more than one occasion that this particular Kolache Factory appears to discourage customers from ordering party trays, possibly through a system that leads to uncharging for individual pieces. I believe constructive feedback is crucial for improvement, and I hope my experience can contribute to enhancing the overall customer satisfaction at your...
Read moreVery delicious kolaches. I love their variety of sweet and savory items. We got a sampling. The bacon, egg, and cheese was EXCEPTIONAL! Sausage & gravy was very interested, still delicious. The potato egg and cheese, and sausage egg and cheese we're both tasty, but paled in comparison to bacon. They had "pepperoni pizza", and it was good. But I wish there was pizza sauce inside. I would have just called it a pepperoni roll. The only sweet one I got was cream cheese. Very, very tasty. My only issue was that my server placed it in the bottom of the bag, so I lost a good bit of filling. And they WAY over microwaved everything. To the point that some of the bread was very tough and hard to eat. I wish they would have asked if I wanted them heated instead of just...
