Decided I was having a lazy girls thanksgiving this year and I’d order the big meal this year instead of getting up at 4 am and being on my feet all day to feed our family. I’ve ordered Honey Baked Ham in the past for company parties so I knew their smoked turkey breast was juicy, sweet, and delicious! I was pleasantly surprised to see their holiday meal packages and they offered discounts for picking up early - sweet!
The day of pickup they sent me reminders, with my QR code to scan upon arrival. I’m not sure what I expected when I arrived, but I was blown away by the level of service Honey Baked Ham employees showed. When picking up something as simple as food, service level expectations are standard, but they really Went to the next level.
At the door, there was a lovely gentleman who asked if I ordered ahead or needed to purchase now so he can guide me into the right line. Once in line, there was another very nice and helpful employee who saw me gazing at their rum cakes and he was delighted to speak to me about the menu and we laughed over holiday plans. When I made it the counter the team was quick and efficient, I honestly forgot what I was there to pick up because everyone was so nice. They packed everything up and I was quickly on my way back home.
Directions are clear on how to prep your already cooked thanksgiving meal, and it easily fit into my fridge and freezer. I’m so amazed at how much time I’m going to save this year, and excited at the idea of this being the first in many years of me actually getting to enjoy this special holiday with my family since I won’t be exhausted from a long day of cooking and cleaning.
Thank you for elevating my family’s holiday experience this year Honey Baked...
Read moreHoney Baked Ham? More like Honey Baked DISAPPOINTMENT. I am extremely upset with this location. We PRE-PAID a ham for Thanksgiving, and never received the reminder voicemail that was allegedly sent for the day of pick-up. We forgot to pick up our ham at our scheduled time which I completely acknowledge is our fault. We remembered at 7:55 p.m. the evening before Thanksgiving and the store closed at 8:00 p.m. This location is closed on Thanksgiving. So, we drove like bats out of hell to the location and arrived at 8:03 p.m. My husband entered the store and was told that they would not give us the ham because "they would be one short for inventory". We pre-paid for this ham ($90.00), so why would that matter? Three minutes late, the night before Thanksgiving, store was still open, nine workers still inside, hams sitting on the shelf, workers walking around literally holding hams, door still unlocked, and they refused to give us the ham THAT WE ALREADY PAID FOR. What a heartless business. I like to imagine that a business, even if they are a chain, could still care about other people on a human level during the holidays, but I guess that was naive. Buy your ham somewhere else, or at the very least--use a different HBH location. These people don't care about you. Literally scrooge at...
Read moreCalled twice to place an order for Christmas Eve! The 1st time I put the phone on speaker and gave up after 27 minutes of recordings! Called again and was on hold for 10minutes before deciding to drive to the store. Expecting to find a crowd was surprised to find only 1 person on the store staffed by 2 employees. I ask if there phone was working and told the lady of my experience, she turned to the other employee as if she didn’t know what to say who then told me ... they will not let us hire any help and we can’t answer the phone!
If there was another store close by they will get my business in the future if I have this experience again! I intend to ask my neighbors about their experiences first chance I...
