Mexicanos Taqueria — Restaurant in Houston

This is a local restaurant that has come up in my searches and it was about time to try them out. Unfortunately, it was a miss for us.

Average plate here is about $13.00.

Service for such a small seating area is just terrible. While the food had a good flavor, the rest of the issues are hard to over look. Should you visit during prime hours, it may get crowded and cramped.

Your order(s) may take a while, so you may want to try the chips & salsa, if you can stomach them.

In the burrito, it had huge chucks of meat that couldn’t even be chewed.

The plate that was ordered was supposed to come with tortillas. They never showed until the plate was almost completed and they had to be reminded.

Ready for the bill, have card out, and walks away, waiting again.

There’s better places in the area to spend our dollar...

Food is good. They have a problem with English in the drive through. This place is always packed during the weekend. They have a lot of combo plates. It is connected to a gas station and a refresheria. Editing post. I stopped coming hear for over a year; due to many reasons. I once ordered a half chicken plate. I believe it is deep fried; and the interior of the chicken was ice cold. I always have trouble ordering in the drive thru. Today the drive thru was blocked by an older silver Audi. I believe it was one of their own workers. I can't believe how the owner would allow the drive they to be blocked. They have a culture of not caring about the customer; which trickles all the way down to every employee. I went down the street to the Taco truck on beamer and fuqa....

They always take so long so I recommend you order to go ahead of time. Also had a bad experience with the lady at the window. She kept rushing me to order after i told her to give me a second. (Ididnt even take more than 3 minutes after pulling up) She then got out the back door to take my order and itold her i needed a second ‘again’. So she continues to take orders for the 2 cars behind me and completely ignored me. I drove off to another restaurant because that was so unnecessary. Not the best service. I went before this incident and the only good thing i can say is the food is good for it being a corner gasoline station restaurant, but i still waited 10+ minutes...
