Neighbor's Kitchen — Restaurant in Houston

I don't recommend going here for lunch. They can take between 20-30 minutes to make your food or forget about your order completely.

I came here on Friday 9/14/2012 at 12:30pm because it is the closest Chinese restaurant to my workplace. When I got there, the entire restaurant was filled and barely anyone had their food. As I was waiting for my food, I noticed how fast they got their to-go orders made for the delivery guy to deliver the food. I think the delivery guy delivered his food 3 times before I got my food. I think this restauraunt focus more on making delivery foods than making food for their dine-in customers.

I saw a few customers complaining to the workers because the food is taking 30 minutes to be made. There were a few customers that left because the food took too long to make.

I ordered the Orange Chicken. It took close to 30 minutes for me to get my food. The chicken they gave me was small like popcorn chicken. Every place that I have been to in the past gives me big chunky pieces of chicken. I was disappointed.

Vary bad experience here. Tried and come to a place after a hard day of work to unwind and eat good food. So we ordered our food and taken our seats when the cashiers son came over and sat with us. It’s not the little kids fault but the mom needs be watching her son. Also there was a guy in there as well playing a movie super loud not caring for other patrons. So my guess is why this place is so empty. We then asked for a refund she said they don’t offer refunds so she went into the kitchen and they all started yelling as if they where arguing. So she finally came back out and attempted the refund after she attempted once she said it’s a debit card and no refunds were possible. She showed me the computer as it suggested a cash refund. She attempted again and WOW low and behold a refund was processed she said she never heard of a restaurant that gives refunds after the food has been ordered. We have not even got the food yet only the drinks which she said I had to pay separate. I never had this issue before at any restaurant. Definitely will...

My sister in law recommended this place a while back. I decided to get dinner delivered so I called tomorrow place my order. Answered right away and I didn't have to ask many questions about the menu. Everything is pretty much straight forward if you are familiar with this place. If not they will answer any questions about the menu and what is included or excluded depending on the dish. Just awesome. Everything I ordered arrived hot and within 20 minutes. Friendly delivery person. Now I have not been to Neighbor's Kitchen to dine in but I have ordered a few times and it's been great. Order is taken, they explain everything and it's delivered pretty quickly. Now the food is good, can't complain about anything I've gotten. Hot, tasty seasoned just right. I didn't take any pictures, but I should have just so you can see how presentable the food was, even in a container. I will keep you posted if anything changes, good or bad, but so far it's been great. So try them out and let me know your experience in dinning in....
