Oriental Gourmet — Restaurant in Houston

Food was terrible!!! The place was almost empty and it was prime dinner time. That' should've been the sign! We couldn't get through the first plate! Our server was nice enough but when I explained why we didn't want to finish she got kinda upset and said there was nothing she could about the undercooked food. So we decided not to finish the plates and leave. When we got to the cashier and explained our experiences he proceed to charge us saying he could only discount for the drinks. I showed him our table and told him we didn't eat a single plate so we shouldn't be charged for the food portion and should ONLY be charged the drinks. He then proceeds to tell us "If we would've talked to him first he wouldn't have charged us" this made no sense since we literally were speaking to him IN THAT MOMENT ABOUT THE FOOD!! We were very friendly and super discreet because I felt bad about embarrassing them. But he had no sense of understanding or kindness and just charged us anyways. Instead of making a scene we just paid....

It was awful. Cheap products. Super dry food. A barely English speaking ateak preparer that did not explain the process. Just handed me 2 thin slices of meat he flipped and served. Told me the Fake Lobster had to be cooked. Those were the extent of his words to me. He could tell it waa my first time there. Waitress was so kind and polite. That cheap hard to melt to cold for you stomach ice cream. The ingredients are NOT REAL SOFT SERVE. THE fake Crab dish (There were 3 metal bins full if it with cheese warmed) was just nasty. The Big roll waa. Ok. And the sweet and sour soup. The Ketchup Mayo Mustard sauce on the Sushi was disgraceful. Absolutely terrible tast. Look. Andd we love Sushi. Never wast your $20 for 2 with tea. We ate almost nothing. And we had waited all day to go try it. Terrible. Nice Waitress and Polite people up front. Food....

Upon entry, the first area has a foul order. Then you enter another door to the restaurant, and the smell gets worse. Food is nasty here. Soup tastes like dirty veggies were used. It had a foul flavor. Crab Rangoon cream cheese taste sour. Rice was clumpy Egg roll had an unusual flavor, but it was better after I drowned it in soy sauce. Wing looked a little red in the center. Napkin dispensers are overstocked and hard to pull out napkins, and the napkin holder is dirty with something sticky. 🤮 I was observing ppl around me to see their reaction to the food. I only saw one person not eating the food. Others appeared to be ok with the food. I had to get out. It was disappointing for me. Take a chance, as you may have a different experience.
