This place is a decent bbq spot. The meats were very tender however not seasoned that well. It needs more flavor so that you can eat the meat without having to put bbq sauce on it or by eating the meat without having added pickles and jalepenos. Nonetheless the food was good and decently priced. I love the fact that there is a little side bar area with pickles, onions, jalepenos and all the sauces to top off your plate. The two item combo is what I ordered with chicken breast and brisket. As mentioned, very tender and juicy but the chicken did not have a whole lot of flavor but the brisket had a nice crust on it. The plate comes with bread and two sides. I got the salad which counts as two sides but it’s a decent sized bowl of salad and you can add all the toppings like tomato, red onion, banana peppers, cucumber, cheese and your choice of dressing. The sweet yams are also SUPER GOOD!! Highly recommend the habanero bbq sauce!! The cantaloupe agua fresca is delicious and you can get refills! They also have watermelon agua Fresca which is also very tasty. Highly recommend those! Further, the overall aromatics cool, quiet, or at least at the time I was there. Country music playing and lowkey vibes. Enjoy!

I haven't been to Pappas in many many years. Got a gift card for Christmas so had to use it. First, I was surprised they didn't offer lunch specials. Most everyone offers something daily. With that in mind we decided to eat on a Saturday. Went around 1:30 and it was relatively nice. Got 3 of the 2 meat ½lb plates with macaroni and cheese and the beans ... My first hang up was the bbq sauce. Those pour bottles stink. By the time I got sauce for all 3 meals mine was cold. The best part was the brisket. Sausage skin was WAY too tough. Even the baked beans were crunchy. For what we spent it was not worth it. If you get anything get the baked potato. Saw others orders and they looked better than what we ordered. Overall the food was about average for bbq and way too expensive for the portions especially those sides man. Pretty bad when the sides guy pours stuff out of your bowl because it's "too much". Just saying.

When it comes to BBQ, there’s no place like Texas. In Houston, we now have some of the country’s best options. 😋 This said, I want to recognize Pappas BBQ for being around when there were not very many options. IMO what distinguishes them is the company’s dedication to quality and food consistency at all their locations. They serve up tasty beef, sausage, chicken, ribs and turkey BBQ with all the trimmings and sauces. My favorite has always been the giant baked potato with sliced beef, cheese and chives. I always request the sour cream and butter on the side. All this goodness is accompanied by the best Texas iced tea which goes down so good on a hot summer day! I also love the Chef Salad loaded with meat and the giant French fries. Pappas was my go-to catering and in-restaurant choice when hosting friends and family. #bbq #barbecue #texasBBQ #houstonBBQ

My wife and I were in the area and decided to stop by to get her something to eat. This was our first time at this location and we were pleasantly surprised to pull up to a double drive-thru. It appeared that we were not the only ones that were dropping in to pickup something to eat as both lines were full. The staff was doing a pretty good job of keeping both lines moving. We made our order and picked it up at the window where the gentleman was very polite and kind. We made our home at this point. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her food and could not stop raving about it. She has eaten at Pappas before, but this location did an exceptional job on her chopped beef sandwich and fries. I don't know what they did to make it so much more special than other locations, but I ended up having to take her again the following day and the consistency was still there. She is still willing to make it three days in a row, it was that good. I must commend them for doing such a fantastic job, especially for me making close to a 45 minute drive on the second day. I must also add that my mother-in-law had the same thing and enjoyed it as well.

Update: Yes, I ended up taking my wife once again to make it 3 days in a row and it was equally delicious. Coincidentally, she ordered the same thing. My mother-in-law got the macaroni and cheese this time, instead of the fries. I picked up an order of cheese fries for myself and was not disappointed. I also got a chance to get some cantaloupe juice that I haven't had from Pappas in a long time, so I'm glad we made that third trip. It could have been a little sweeter, but it was still good. That's just how cantaloupes are. Once again, it was worth the drive. Ok, I'm done this time. Three days in a row is enough. Will be be...

Edit: Guest Relations reached out with a letter sent to my home. I appreciate the promptness of addressing my issue. Customer service like this is very rare these days, so, thank you!

What you would expect from a chain bbq joint. CHECK YOUR ORDERS BEFORE LEAVING. Ordered curbside pick up. 3 baked potatoes, cheeseburger and fries, and pecan pie slice were good for the kids and online Olo ordering needs some revamping. Ordered 1/2 chicken with beef rib, baked potato in place of the 2 sides and when I arrived at 7:45 (pick up time was 7:41) waited about 10 minutes before a curbside attendent approached my vehicle asking if I had been helped already. I said no and he apologized for the "slacking" of the curbside associate. He will go check on my order. No worries I said. Curbside associate came out and said they were out of 1/2 chicken. I asked do yall refund it then? Was told no, but they can replace with something else. Again, no worries, brisket will do. Curbside associate came out with brisket replacement and I went home. I started handing out the food to the kids and I sat down with my food and lo and behold, no beef rib. Side potato and jalapeno bread was good and the brisket was dry as it had been left out for a little while. Called the restaurant twice to no avail. This was a hundred dollar mistake I will not make again. I have had a similar issue with this same location.(shorted fries, and 2 pie slices a year ago) so shame on me this time...

We (me and my husband) recently visited Pappas BBQ and I was so utterly impressed with the young lady who greeted us. I used to live in Houston for many many years but there was no Pappas BBQ where we moved to in Florida, so I was happy to be visiting one of my favorite restaurants. But since I had been away for so long, I could not even really remember all the fabulous dishes I used to have. The line was long, and I did not want to hold it up while trying to review the overhead menu. But KIMBERLY was super sweet. I explained to her that I had not visited a Pappas BBQ place in a long time and if she could assist with my order. I ask if they still sold the spud and her reply was yes.

She immediately recommended that brisket is most of the customers favorite (because I wasn’t sure what meat I wanted to add) and then she asks me if I wanted it all the way. I then asked well can you tell me what all the way is; again, without hesitation she rattled out that I could have it with butter, sour cream, chives and etc. That was so very kind of her. She definitely took the guess out of guessing. The potato was then prepared to perfection, and I left a happy and satisfied customer.

Thank you, Kimberly, for being a spectacular employee and gaining my trust in being a returning customer when I am in the Houston area. We live in Beaumont so I will for sure be visiting again...
