Today i was craving pappadeaux I normally don't go to the establishment bc the one by my house is always packed and quite frankly the customer service is not what I expect when I'm coming and spending 100+ dollars but today took the cake....my bartender jimesha was a doll and this review is in no way in regards to the great service she provided which was a breath of fresh air and very much so appreciated. This review is for the two female Managers that made my experience one I would not repeat. I arrived there at 8:20 the manager with the braces was already making sure everyone knew 9 was approaching and she was ready to go. I work in there service industry and the customer service does not stop until every guest is out of the building. Her customer service was turned off before the restaurant even closed. Anywho I asked my bartender jimesha if they took tap to pay I had left my card and only had that available she advised me they did not but the manager should beable to use my card number and or I could buy a giftcard online in order to pay so I proceeded to enjoy my drinks and meal with the thought I would have no problems with payment at the end....when it was time for payment jimesha asked the manager to come over to assist me with paying out the manager with the braces came and advised me I couldn't use my card number she didn't know how to do that but I could buy a e gift card online no problem I went online to purchase giftcard and while waiting on gift card I got a message from Amazon saying they couldn't process because my account was flagged based on the purchase I just tried to make...I advised jimesha of this and she called over a manager a different one then the one I had first spoke with and her energy was it's 9 and I don't have time for this. She read the email not in its entirety as I was trying to explain she walked away as if the issue had been resolved..now at this time I'm then feeling dismissed and insulted bc all I'm trying to do is make sure yall get paid. She never returned...the other manager with the braces returned but did not speak to me I had to flag her down and ask her if the other manager had advised her what was going on and if we could come to a resolve. She then told me I could go online order all the things I had ordered and pay there but did not stay around long enough to even help me do that she then clocked out and never seen her again...after me and jimesha figured the online out the other manager then walked over to me to confirm I had paid at the right location but if they had been there from the jump to help she wouldn't have had to confirm that with me. The managers where very unprofessional and lacked any common courtesy. How they are managers IS definitely beyond me and would recommend yall find better help. I will be also contacting corporate in regards to this matter. There needs to be some type of reprimand and training for the manages that are there. Papadeaux is expensive and the customers should be treated as if they are spending there hard earned money to sit and enjoy the time they spend there. I APPRECIATE...
Read moreI went to this pappadeaux like oh so many nights for a platter. The new; clearly not properly trained, manager ask me to give her the shrimp off my plate after the bartender rang in my order incorrect and overcharged me for something I did not ask for at all. I explained to her that she did not understand this was not my fault I ordered correctly but did not verify how it was put in on the POS. I also told her that Revenue management ,not to mention customer services says you don't upset a customer for a operational mistake. I also said she could only throw this food away so now the loss would twice instead of a 5.00 adjustment. SHe replied with a smug matter of fact response look with that's fine. It was so bad that others next to me said I know you lying, just give them the whole plate back as i do not eat that much of it to begin with. I didn't want to be humiliated any further until I could speak to the actual manager who was off at the moment. I will speak to the GM about retaining this manager as I feel there was some clear biases. If this was my staff she would be on probation because now she is costing me IRM and Customer service scores. On the second this same floor supervisor spoke to another patron whom was also a regular in a belittling manner about his gumbo order that he orders all the time and she could see they kitchen just made it wrong that they should have put he was allergic if they didn't want the kitchen to make his gumbo with shellfish. The man politely said alot of times i get this order with chicken and gumbo no shellfish and therefore didn't think it would be a problem if they rang up chicken and sausage gumbo. "She replied well now we will have to remake it, his friend said we will keep this one while, you go and get the one he ask for ma'am." People watched as she was condescending with these men and just wanted to make herself and the service right even though she read that the Kitchen just made it wrong. The food was fine but they have made several changes to the menu so you may want to be very detailed to what you order, and they may still not get it right as we all make errors. I do not feel that this type of treatment of customers would be tolerated at any other Pappadeaux location even in Georgia I have received and seen better service than I was given last nite. Read moreWent to lunch on Sunday. We shared a Redfish pontchartrain (43.00) , Caesar salad (8.95) and asked for baked potatoe substitution. One of the restaurant manager Crystal informed us that they did not have baked potatoes and they would not available for over 30 minutes which we were ok to wait but she came back to table and said it would 45 minutes instead.My big disappointment how can you run out of baked potatoes at 12:45 pm. I asked if they could cook in microwave silly suggestion of course, she said no. We settled for the dirty rice and my companion said to bring French fries instead. We received the french fries 5 minutes before our meal which was odd. And we received dirty rice 5 minutes after we received our redfish meal. Our waiter must have had a couple of tables because he forgot to ask if we were done with portions of our meals before he started to clear the bread and butter from our table and other plates of food we were still eating the French fries and bread. Crystal the manager apologized about the baked potatoes and she offered to comp dessert for us. When we received our check the dessert a whopping 13.95 was not comped so my partner asked for the manager we had spoken to us previously. A different manager showed up at our table with our waiter and both copped an attitude when I tried to explain that the previous manager had offered to comp our dessert. Kayla or Kaylee the other manager did not show any patience as I-tried to explain what the other manager had offered us the comp dessert as she mouthed off and left our table side. Not good customer service Ms Kayla, Kaylee what ever your name was. Kevin returned with the corrected check and I explained to him That I did not have issues with him but it was the fact that we were offers the comp dessert and the whole miscommunication issue between him and manager would have made that whole scenario a non issue. I still tipped Kevin over the 20% of the bill with the dessert price included because as a former waitress I know how hard they work. I feel though that the waitressing service and communication between the manager and kitchen staff and waiters could use some improvement. Also they could be a little more patience with your customers because we might have legitimate requests and don’t take things so personally. It might be a while before we returned to Papadeaux.
