I rate restaurants on 4 core values which is Customer Service, Taste of food, Price & Cleanliness. Service -⭐⭐⭐ Is okay. It's not bad but they also don't go out of the way to do anything extra. There is no host, waitress's or servers so you have to order your food at counter when you come in and you can sit where you like. Drink station is to the right of where you order so don't forget to get your drinks. Taste -⭐⭐⭐⭐ I like it very much. I haven't been here since I was a child and it has definitely changed. The wings use to be super huge pumped with MSG but not anymore. The wing size is normal and taste is delicious. It's seasoned very well and crispy on the outside while while juicy on the inside. Value -⭐⭐ ⭐⭐ For 2 adult meals (6 PC chicken wings with shrimp fried rice) I paid $21.90 +tax not including drinks. The amount of food they give you is a lot so it's worth the price. Cleanliness- ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Despite the outside look the inside is clean. Restrooms don't compare to Buc-ee's but it's usable. Overall - ⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recommend this place. Food is tasteful and delicious but don't expect much for customer service and you'll come out happy. My suggestion is to take it Togo.

The people that work there are polite and greet you as you enter. And I like the fact that they accept credit/debit cards 👍🏽 I like the Shrimp Lo Mein or the Chicken Wings and Shrimp Fried Rice. I go right pass the Timmy Chan's on MLK. I compared the "Signature" chicken wing and the one on MLK re-drop theirs when you order. You can tell by the taste, color and texture. I asked one of the young ladies that take orders why the wings taste old and hard and she told me that they re-drop them. And some of the people that take orders have no customer service skills and need to be trained. They are either rude, working with bonnets on and patting their heads. They never greet you and most of the time, they always have attitudes. They just hire anyone. I haven't been to MLK Timmy Chan in about 5 years and I will never go back!!

Decided to try out this location. It's a beautiful building. The dining area is spacious and clean. The atmosphere though is kinda cold and unfeeling. I ordered chicken strip basket, shrimp fried rice and a small order of green beans. The strips were small but juicy. Rice is okay but oily and smushy. Green beans are a little overcooked.(edit: found a little rock in it) They have a minimum requirement of having to order at least $10 of food to place an order. I think I'll stick to my usual location instead. It took quite some time to get my food. It was almost $40 and the food wasn't as great as it looked.

This place has WAY too many stars. Pretty much the only pro is the portion size—they do give you a lot of the food they give you (and for a low price). In terms of quality, this is basically fast food Chinese, not even as good as Panda Express.

I got two staples: spring rolls and combination fried rice (for just under $10). The spring rolls were more fried shell than ingredients inside, but if you only eat the skin off of fried chicken, for example, that might not be a problem. Incidentally, I saw them serving fried chicken while I was waiting for my food, and my food ended up tasting faintly like fried chicken (a very distinct taste from the chicken in the fried rice or the fried rice itself). Not a huge deal, I only really noticed it a couple of times, but maybe they should use different friers for those dishes and/or clean them more often

The fried rice was probably 75-80% rice, and the main ingredients (shrimp, pork, chicken etc.) were TINY, I had trouble finding them even. On the other hand, the egg and bean sprouts (and the few other vegetables in there, which were even harder to find than the meats) seemed fine. But overall, the fried rice would have been merely OK if it weren't for the excessive sodium content, like double the daily recommended dose in one dish I would guess, if not more. It was even more salty than Panda Express's fried rice, and it overwhelmed every other flavor (including the occasional whiff of southern fried chicken). Probably a few grams of sodium in their fried rice, no joke.

If you want quality fried rice—Chinese-style fried rice, even though it's a sushi restaurant—go to Asahi sushi on Kirby, that's what I've learned after a year of living in this area.

Finally, I ordered for takeout, and the food was at least prepared in a reasonable...

If I could give this place no stars I would ! First when I call the woman has an attitude in the middle of me order she starts taking someone else for order that should’ve been a sign to not come but I still did I come in to get my food I tap my card the money was took off my card they argue me up and down and said it wasn’t took off I call my bank and my bank said it was and my bank even told them they took it and they wasn’t listening , the manager was the most nastiest rude disrespectful woman ! Her name is Lilian ! And the other woman who was taking the orders who was hoping off the manager energy and was being rude also is name ping , I had put a claim in and also speaking to my lawyer as we speak because I was already having a hard day and they decided to be rude and not listen and try to prove me wrong when I was right ! They talking about if it was approved the receipt would come out im like what regardless it was took out of my bank my bank even said it was and they weren’t listening money hungry is what I call it , the whole establishment was horrible ! They were in the back talking about me like I didn’t have my google translate I heard everything they said and recorded them for my records ! My husband and uncle drove from baytown Texas to this spot and ordered 3 different meals, one in particular was wrong wrong wrong.! Ordered the 4pc wings with shrimp fried rice got all the way home with out checking the food first ( his fault) for me to open the box and see only 2wings and the shrimp fried rice. I called to find out if there had been a mistake because I know damn well there is no such thing as a 2pc wings at this restaurant. One if you order 4 wings you get 6 , not this time and the lady's that answered the phone have the nerve to tell me it wasn't 2 wings! I offered to send a picture to prove it to them but she ignored my offer. Went from the lady who took the order is gone and to call back in 10 minutes to hold on (on hold for 8 minutes) to call back tomorrow so she can check with the lady. I'm not going to gain anything from lying but damn man why would we drive all the way to Houston to get screwed and call and lie????? So my uncle spent money to NOT get what was ordered and seems like they don't care to fix it knowing the trip and time that was made to come to their place if business to be called a bold face lier. Smh and I love Timmy Chans so...
