Hello Views and Management of Davis Chevrolet,
My name is Sharon Blackmon a woman that knows nothing about a car. I would like to write this review on the dedicated and devoted workers of Davis Chevrolet. they turned my tears from tears of pain, hurt, frustration to tears of contentment. It started off with my module transmission control that I thought I needed to find out that I did not need it. So I wanted to make sure I get the right one. I went to Davis Chevrolet and they assured me checking my vending number it was the correct transmission control module. After getting it fixed, put in and getting it reprogrammed (from another party).
I found out that’s check engine light is still on. so I did not know what to do. I was told by Mechanic that I need to get it diagnostic done Which would cost me $190, i say $200. After already spending thousands getting the transmission control module getting it reprogram paying the mechanic to put it in I find out from the Davis Chevrolet people on today October 4, 2025 that I didn’t even need to get that done.
I would like to thank customer service consultant, Julio Teran he was so kind to me; took my car and to get it the diagnostic done and then the two techs came out. One name was Keiontre Brooks and the other Tyler Julian. they came out and explained to me about the reading that I got from AutoZone that it didn’t per se state that I even needed a transmission control module.
However, I did need some work done on it. They saw that I was so upset and in tears And I just did not know what to do, but I know that I couldn’t afford to get it fixed right then. So then I became upset and said that I was gonna take it back to the mechanic that didn’t put things back together again, like he was supposed to. I’m writing this to say how kind they were to me both the technicians and the consultant they gave it to me, free the diagnostic reading. I just really want to say that they did not have to do that because they did take out their time to do the work, and they took out their time to come and talk to me
And seeing how upset I was and knowing that I spent money that I didn’t even have to spend, they told me that was OK to go ahead and go back and out to the mechanic and get things straight. I just wanna recommend Davis Chevrolet on 610 S. in Houston Texas. they are so great they treated me so well I started off today with tears of anger sadness and feeling used . However, I write this notation with tears of contentment and knowing that these three gentleman was in my corner and did look out for me.
I am going to get the mechanic to finish what he did and did not finish. However, if I need to get any work done to my car in the future, I will be going to the service center of Davis Chevrolet in Houston Texas. I want to thank you so much for being there for me for having a heart and thinking about me because truly, I didn’t have the money to pay for that and then turn around and get the other things fixed as well. Read moreI have nothing but good things to say about Davis Chevrolet as well as Ray Wright & George Kambouris. I was looking for a 2nd vehicle for recreational use & found this Expedition Platinum online at their dealership that I wanted to look at, I was a little skeptical even though it was only a few years old and only had 38k miles on it because I was just sold one the week before from a dealership and it needed the transmission replaced which the dealership told me that vehicle had zero issues (total lie). I emailed with Mr. Ray Wright & told him that I would want to have my Mechanic do a thorough checkup before I considered buying, Mr. Wright told me that was just fine. We went in last Saturday and looked at the Expedition and loved it. We told George Kambouris that we'd like to have the Expedition checked out by our Mechanic, George went and spoke to Mr. Wright and they both came back & said that they wanted to let us take it home for the weekend and we could have it checked out by our Mechanic Monday morning & then to call them and let them know if we wanted to buy it or not. I took it to our Mechanic Monday morning; there were a couple of issues that we negotiated but nothing major or serious. I emailed George and told them what I was willing to pay, George responded and we made a deal. It was extremely easy and no haggling back & forth which I hate when buying a car. I filled out the credit app online & their Finance Manager Mac Khan called me within 20 minutes to let me know that I was approved and to discuss terms, he was also very nice and explained everything very well. We drove to the dealership to sign the papers and were back on the road within an hour. This was the BEST experience that I've EVER had at a Chevrolet dealership. There are (2) in Houston that I wouldn't purchase from even if they were the only dealerships around, they're horrible.
Mr. Ray Wright & George Kambouris sent their "Key Guy" out yesterday to make us new key fobs as the one we were given had died the following day. I've emailed Mr. Wright a couple of times since the purchase and he's been very responsive and very helpful. George Kambouris is currently on vacation and has also responded to my email. These guys are NOT your typical "sales guys" just trying to make a buck, they're honest and do what they say that they're gonna do! I'm blown away by the amazing treatment we received when purchasing from Davis Chevrolet.
I'd give them 10 stars if I could because they truly deserve it and went over and above to make sure we were happy! We will defiantly give them our business in the future if we're ever in the need. I highly recommend them if you or your family are needing to make a vehicle purchase!

Original Review: Overall wonderful experience at Davis today! My husband and I went in just to simply look and test drive and Chris in sales was OUTSTANDING! He and J.D (Finance Director) work diligently and we left with our new family vehicle. They ensured our process was pleasant and worked with great excellence. Happy Customers of Davis!

UPDATED REVIEW: Week 3 after Purchase. It has been a complete NIGHTMARE. The day after purchasing our suburban, we discovered the passenger side floor saturated with water and mold. It was evident that the inspection team at Davis didn't do a proper inspection instead- listed it for sale.. Not to mention it was a horrible experience getting anyone to respond back to me & after making my appointment and taking off of work- Justin (Service Manager) was not present at the time of my appointment and upon my arrival, his team was clueless, which, resulting in me driving back home to The Woodlands. (Highly Unprofessional). After rescheduling and spending our day waiting at the dealership, they requested to keep our vehicle for a few days due to not being able to properly diagnose where the water was coming from. This issue followed with them not wanting to provide us with a rental car stating that “ they didn't have any available”. It took us bypassing employees, salesman, service management to the dealership director, Dan who a couple of hours later found one.
After a few days of our vehicle being their preferred the testing we ended up having to call them after receiving no update and they shared that they had ordered the port and they found the problem. After stating that they fix the problem and removed all mold from the vehicle and changed the carpet
🚯Needless to say that was not accurate. Two days after receiving our vehicle back the water is back and so is the mold. Now today once again, we have to bring the truck back in resulting in MORE DISTRESS. The service department has been absolutely rude and unprofessional.
