I was craving bun suong and I read somewhere that this place had a good bun suong so we gave it a try. We usually don’t drive that far down Bellaire so we were not familiar with this shopping strip. The parking lot really needs to be repaved and the drivers have no sense of common courtesy or right of ways. As soon as we opened the doors to the restaurant we were greeted by the delicious aroma of pho. It almost made me want to order pho instead but I stuck to the plan and got what I was craving. Menu: The menu had a lot of items and the drink menu also had some traditional drinks not found everywhere including the salty lemonade and the nước chanh xí muội. Obviously, pho is a main item there but they also had rice dishes and many other noodle dishes. The owner told me their rice and chicken dish was popular. Food - the bun suong was good but since I have only had it once before and that was over 20 years ago, I don’t have a comparison. Both my son and I ordered it and we both enjoyed it. Price is now $12.95 which is more than any of their other noodle soups but the bowl was very large. It is now several hours later and I am still so full. Ambience - aside from the parking lot, the restaurant was nice and clean. Lots of windows and plenty of light. There was an annoying fly flying around us as we ate though. Service - we were directed to a table as we entered and as soon as she finished up getting orders from the other table, she came over and gave us menus. After we ordered, it did seem like a very long time before our food car out but seems like there were only two people there working and the table that came in before us had many people. Cost - $12.95 seemed high for me for Houston but everything is more expensive these days. My son was thinking that everything was so cheap compared to Boston. However, when I went to pay, the amount he told me still seems high for our 2 bowls and one drink. There was nothing written down. I went to the register and he gave me a price. I paid it and left a good tip but if it was a larger bill, I would have asked to see it itemized. The numbers just didn’t add up if you use the prices from the menu. Overall, it was a good experience and I will be back to try other dishes in the future.

☎️ Guy answering phone did not speak or understand English and eventually hung up on me. So I went in person. 🙅‍♀️📛 Google maps shows closing hours 9pm. I arrive 8:45pm, open sign on but door locked. Server looked at me and ignored me as I stood at the door for 5 minutes (uploading photo of their actual times, their responsibility but I don't want others to drive out for nothing like me). ❌Went back for durian smoothie today. The same waitress who ignored me laughed when I asked for a durian smoothie, saying the ENTIRE MENU PAGE of smoothies No longer exists. ‼️OWNER, higher someone who can speak enough English to take orders or answer questions over the phone and update your online presence and menus so I don't waste 2 days of valuable time. I'm Vietnamese and this experience gives Viets a bad name.

I have been coming here for years. Good place for casual dining. There's no big greeting, usually you come in and someone will point you to a seat if you dont alreasy take one. Quick to take your order and will give quick service which shows organization. Their Pho is good, the broth flavored well and noodles cooked properly. They always seeve water and sorouts with herbs lime and jalapeno slices. I have enjoyed myself everytime They have also done exceptional precautions to their convenience at the table, tablewares are secured in paper sleeves and condiments are now packed in 2oz cups.

Of the many pho restaurants nearby, this is the number one spot for my partner and I. It’s a little spot owned by a lovely family that are dedicated to putting out good food. The inside has nice decor and is always clean. Even at their busiest, they are timely with taking orders and filling them. The spring rolls are so delicious- definitely a good size for the cost. Sometimes, other places give you those skinny ones that don’t have much filling, but these are always fresh and full. Their crispy rolls are yummy too and often, we will get those instead of the spring rolls to change it up. (Sometimes we get both!) Onto the main event. The pho is always delicious! At other restaurants we’ve frequented, you get the occasional watered down bowl- but not here! Each and every bowl has the great flavors from hours of cooking, without a bunch of imperfections. There is typically little to no grease floating on the top of the broth. Oh, so yummy! Plus, they have plenty of rice dishes that are just as delicious! We’ve only tried a handful of them because we like the ones we’ve tried and usually reorder those if we aren’t getting the pho. One day, we’ll make it through...
