We are usually very happy with the food/service we receive at this location. However, on our last visit, I ordered the Chipotle Grilled Chicken tacos and that set off the unfortunate events of the evening. Usually, service is quite quick and friendly (the morning staff is wonderful) - however, this time we waited. And waited. I finally went to ask if we could at least get the chips and queso we ordered to snack on. A nice young lady (who was running the register and was quite nice all evening despite the events) brought that and my daughter's tacos. I heard someone holler from the kitchen that the chicken was cooking. Understandable. By now we are at the 15 minute mark. After another 10 minutes, I went to check again and was told they had to cook the chicken from raw. I worked in restaurant management for 20 years and cook at home - I know how to cook chicken. I also know it does not take 30 minutes to cook a chicken breast, especially on a restaurant flat top. I finally got my food from the woman in the kitchen with a side of attitude which I did not appreciate, especially since I had been very patient in the empty restaurant. I know everyone has bad days but please treat your customers a bit nicer, especially when I can see and hear you in the kitchen. I hate giving negative reviews, but it really ruined our experience that evening. The sarcastic apology and 'have a nice evening' as we left didn't...
Read moreI have been a loyal customer since the day it has been open it's only a dollar fifty for beer and $3 for a frozen margarita which is very poulton :-)! And the dollar 50 for nachos :-)! They make delicious brisket taco and steak quesadillas and the roasted chicken and I also love their taquitos and especially the salsa like the tomatillo mixed with garlic and jalapeno and green tomatoes with lime juice mixed together and I like their also Ranch salsa they has different type of spicy sauce and raw cilantro and onion and you could use fresh squeezed lime to put on your orders:-)! You could also eat outdoors :-)! But one thing I do not like is that it is torturing eating in there because it's way too hot I just don't understand what's going through their mind at the restaurant for not turning on the air conditioner just the ceiling fan :-(! I like the deserts and what's a wonderful it is all you can drink sodas :-)! They do need to pay attention and stay in front of the cash register just in case customers coming in not making the customer waiting to find someone to serve you :-(! They also have a drive-through which is wonderful but I rather order food inside so you can pick your own salsa and how much quantities do you need to have :-)! I will hope that you all enjoy a nice delicious Mexican food...
Read moreMost times when I order from here the food is on point. Today, however, there were issues. I made a large order ($85.00) through the drive-thru at around 3:45pm. My shredded chicken Cabana Bowl was not in the bag (though I ordered one) so the main part of my lunch was missing. The 3-enchilada plate I ordered for my husband was bad enough (the enchilada shells were hard, as though microwaved, and the rice was hard), so he could not even get through 1 enchilada, and ended up throwing the whole meal away. Lastly, we were given a SWEET tea after I clearly repeated twice, slowly, that I wanted an UNSWEET tea (I have family who can't have sugar). I did check the order before we left, while at the drive-thru, and I thought my bowl was there, but it was just my flautas in a large container. So, I was disappointed with this visit. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but I'm hoping that once Taco Cabana sees this one, the staff on call this afternoon might be required to listen more to a customer's order and improve their...
