Banana Bay — Restaurant in Houston

This was my first time visiting, this is a nice place, good food ,service and music.

The only think is On Saturday night, the place was almost full, and they keep performing only Karaoke. Just a little bit of deejay music playing. Most of the people's was Hispanics adults, and they keep paying, Regueton, this is for teenagers, (we do understand that) but the most of us was adults how wants to ear and dancing good Spanish music, like Cumbias, Merengue, I spent almost the whole night & there never played a single Salsa song (we love Salsa). It's a shame!. They just keep singing and playing Corridors (Mexican music) etc. They play just a little bit cumbias but it was just for 10-15 minutes. That was it. No more Cumbias. We noticed most adults people's started living out.

Any how I do understand that that's there's way to be entertaining themselves. But they didn't look around to even see what type of person area around. They keep paying teenagers music.!!

It's a Shame because the place is in veri nice location. The only thing it's too small. That they even have were to dance. The bar in the middle take...

I went for the first time last night and it will be my last. The event taking place was a Spanish drag queen show which was surprising but not terrible. It was the ear-piercing decibels of the music that made conversation nearly impossible, including ordering drinks/food. My friend and I sat at the bar which had more chairs than space so it felt claustrophobic. And for a small bar in a less than ideal location, the drink prices were obscenely high. I paid $12.99 for a premium margarita that was neither premium (it was about 9 ounces max) nor much of a margarita. I would've asked to speak to the manager but the idea of yelling over the music to the bartender once more exhausted me since we'd been doing that all evening just to get orders in. Staff is friendly but very slow at what they do. Food is horrbile . We ordered fresh pinnaple drink and horchata . The pinnaple drink was ok they only put 3 cubes of ice and for the orhchata it had no flavor very sour and it didn't look made right . They brought out chips and bean dip . The cheese on top was way to sour maybe it was rooten we could not finish it. Now we ordered 2 shrimp cocktails and 2 hamburgers with French fries our orders literally took about a hour to come out . So we waited and when the food came out it was horrible. The shrimp cocktail only had 6 shrimp 3 on top for decoration and 3 on the cocktail plus stale crackers yuck .The hamburgers had no flavor only burnt meat. We couldn't finish our food, It was horrbile .Save your money and get something else . Will not recommend to anyone ,I hope...
