We were staying in Houston for one night after our Galveston cruise and just wanted some food & drinks in walking distance of our AirBnB. We stumbled upon this place and wow, what a gem! The service we received was outstanding… It felt like we didn’t leave the service of the cruise ship (which is the probably best service you can get). The tacos were amazing, and they had the best fish tacos I’ve ever had; juicy and plentiful. We tried their different salsas, and while all were good, the Fuego and Diablo (green crack) were phenomenal! Also got a 6 pack of cheese enchiladas that were delish! We were so sad we won’t be able to get it again unless we’re back in Houston (we are from the Tucson, AZ area). What made our evening there even better was the fresh beer on tap. We were happy to have some craft brew and took a 1/2 gallon frozen margarita to-go! We didn’t expect much from a frozen margarita to go, but when we got back to it our room, we were pleasantly surprised at how good it was. 10/10 recommend! If we come anywhere near Houston in the future we will absolutely be going out of our way to come here! To the managers… you would be very successful if you ever expanded over to Tucson, just keep that in mind :)

I rarely write reviews, but I feel this one is necessary. I visited Tacos A Gogo with my family of eight — six adults and two kids — and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with the manager, Daniel. While trying to place our order, I asked if I could sample the birria broth before ordering, just to make sure everyone would enjoy it. Daniel laughed at my request, and when I asked if I could return it in case we didn’t like it, he walked away still laughing and said, “No.” It wasn’t just the refusal — it was the attitude. The interaction felt dismissive and disrespectful, especially when we were there as a large family ready to enjoy a meal together. Customer service like this completely ruins the experience. The only reason I’m giving one star is because zero isn’t an option. I truly hope the owners see this and realize how poor management like this can drive customers away.

Door Dash delivery was good BUT this restaurant needs help! Eggs were brown and way over cooked! Potatoes were gray with the eyes in some that was a bad taste, and hard chewy bits of bacon pieces seemed like the left overs from the day before. They forgot to pack the pico de gallo in the bag so I can't say if that was fresh. This location needs help and the manager seemed like he nonchalant about me letting him know about my experience and how different the quality of food that the Heights location. Bye Bye Tacos A GO GO! I will GO GO Away!

The food is good here, but these guys clearly don’t understand the multifunctional purpose of a numbered table tent after you place your order: They don’t remove the table tent after your food has arrived (this is for all tables I saw, including mine), regardless of the fact that they’re not very busy and are all walking around talking to each other, and hanging out at the bar around 2 PM on weekday. What it leads to (with several people placing “dine in” orders ) are lots of mistakes and the kitchen often making the orders as “to-go” (as this is clearly their biggest customer base) but the front-of-house employees don’t see that there’s several tables with table tents that still have no food on them; so the employees aren’t checking that the customers are being served their food and THAT requires the customers to wait long times and awkwardly go ask where their food is (something no Customer should ever have to do, ever) only to annoyingly discover it’s been sitting with a to go orders the entire time! If they would simply take the table tents away after they deliver all the food items, then they would see that any table tents still REMAINING, means that they need to go get the food to the customer. it’s just restaurant 101. every other restaurant I’ve been to that has number table tents knows how this works. But not this place. … plus I saw their employees walking around confused whenever they do deliver food to the tables because they’re searching every single table tent for the matching number, because every table with a person in it still has the table tent, sitting on it the entire time they’re eating there; instead, if they would remove the table tents after delivery then they would only need to look for tables that STILL have table tents on them, greatly speeding up the efficiency of...

amended review on 9/2023 visited again tonight, and I'm happy to say my review can be adjusted. Food tonight was very good, night and day from my original visit. I ate three tacos. My favorite was the brisket. Highly recommend. Give this place a try! The restaurant was quiet both times (takeout seemed busy though!) I visited, so come and check it out!

8/2023 Atmosphere is fun in this tex mex restaurant, but the food was a disappointment. We ordered chips & their famous queso as well as two street tacos. The chips were not fresh and had little flavor. The queso was very runny and lacked the usual kick expected in this dish. It resembled melted Velveeta with some Rotel mixed in. The pastor taco was overwhelmingly spiced and not enjoyable. And, the corn tortillas were stale with turned up, dried out edges. I was very surprised at the low quality food we experienced. The ambiance is fun, but I would not choose to dine here again.

**Sharon, the store manager, did contact me privately and issued a gift card to try the restaurant again. I am not often in Houston, but the next time I am there, I will visit and amend my review if possible!...
