Coming to Tacos Laguna, my friends and I were looking forward to finding a new place to eat; however, the experience did not meet our expectations. Firstly, the location is in a shadier area of Houston, due to this we kept our valuable belongings in our cars. We arrived at approximately 4 pm last Friday. My friends went up to order from the menu but found difficulty viewing the prices, since they were not on the menu. This resulted in them having to frequently ask the worker what the prices on the menu were. Along with the prices not being on the menu, they also didn't accept anything but cash. While there is a "cash only" sign on the truck, being able to accept other forms of payment such as card readers and Apple Pay would be a consideration. Yet, there was a language barrier between him and my friend, but still they managed to give great service. The worker patiently waited and answered all our questions. We ordered a lot from the menu: al pastor tacos, chicken tacos, beef quesadilla, barbacoa tacos, and beef tacos. With ordering this much, we only had to wait about 15 minutes. When we received the food we noticed that the tacos were wrapped in aluminum foil to keep the food hot, in addition we were also given creamy jalapeno sauce and lime to add onto the tacos. After receiving the food, we left the area and found a place to sit after we got our food, and I began to eat my al pastor tacos. I started eating the tacos; they were made of seasoned and flavorful pork full of onions and cilantro. However, when I tried my friend's chicken tacos I noticed that they were very bland and lacked flavor. We all shared the beef quesadilla, and my friends and I thought the same thing: it was juicy and the best dish on the menu with a complementary white cheese going with it, folded inside a crispy tortilla. Overall, my friends and I did not have a good experience with the food at Tacos Laguna, and we would not return to...
Read moreFood is good but I’ve noticed when my Hispanic friend orders they are nice but when I (non Hispanic) orders they are irritated as if they dislike that I don’t speak Spanish. I would hate to assume they are discriminating against me because I am not Hispanic, but that is what it seems like. At the end of the day if you are in a business that sells to people of different cultures and backgrounds you should have at least one worker that speaks English. I have been a regular and loyal customer for a year and have treated the workers with nothing but respect. We are in 2023 and we are still dealing with RACISM especially from the hispanic community??? 🤦🏿♀️🤦🏿♀️🤦🏿♀️ I wish I could give them 0 stars because that is what...
