I have been wanting some boudin balls right. Well talking to a complete stranger referred me to the Stuffed Baked Potatoe Factory off of MLK n Houston, Texas. Not at all but far not new to the area but new to this place is business. This will be my first time going so I said, let me try them out because I was just being lazy and needed to get to work also. MAN WHEN I TELL YOU the atmosphere was like ("here's another customer oh..well vibe")RUDE, AND ABSOLUTELY NO CUSTOMER service I mean none what so ever! The body language and I'm like.. REALLY? (she made me me feel as though I was bothering her. (She never made herself present because she was kneeled down that's why I was under the assumption no one was at the front counter).. Just unacceptable but again my fault for being greedy...horrible (I did say my first time here)experience and I would never go back!! If I didn't have this craving for some freaking boudin balls I would not have come here believe you me but this is opinion! So now that I went ahead and purchased them I might as well make the best of it. This better be some banging seafood boudin ball for $18... Oookkaayyyy.. Yea I'm good but I will not be returning. I'm going to be honest and as transparent as possible. I guess if the customer service wasn't so ughhh.... But because I've been graving them I overlooked this young lady rudely demeanor and ordered anyway. I should have went to the store and bought the items and made them myself. But you live and you learn. So if I had to give it a score on a scale of 1-10. I'll give it a 5.5. I may can give it a higher score but because of the customer service I received really made me feel some type of way about the food.

Just left from this place. Was very excited to try it out, I drove 36 mins IN TRAFFIC to try it. Got in and was barely greeted. Understanding that I am walking in 20 minutes before closing, I didn’t expect them to per say have everything on the menu available but the lady at the counter had horrible customer service! First, upon walking in I spoke to her and she rolled her eyes and said hey. I was puzzled then because she had on a shirt with the logo on it so obviously she works at the establishment but okay. Get to the counter and she comes over voicing how the restaurant is closed and my spouse and I are the last people that would be coming in. She goes on to say what they do and do not have while waving her arms all in the air, as if it was an inconvenience for us to be serviced. My spouse asked her what meats did she state they had left and she proceeded to point hard towards the menu while saying ā€œALL THESE MEATS I JUST NAMED.ā€ Clearly, we asked her to repeat them but I guess that was too much for her to do. I decided to leave after that irate response from her. I am very disappointed in the service that I received!

Maybe I should do 2 separate reviews.. 1 for the potato and the other for the Boudin balls. Overall the food wasn't terrible. My only complaint was receiving everything cold. I had to heat it before eating it. I stay about 6 minutes away so the travel time wasn't the cause. I'll start with the Boudin Balls since they were the best part. They are large enough to be a meal by themselves. The flavor was spot on especially once you add the sauce that comes on the side. The potato on the other hand wasn't all that great. I believe they reel you in with the images then leave you begging for flavor (not speaking for all the potatoes just the Swamp Monster). There isn't much potato there just loads and loads of cheese! They didn't skimp on the shrimp, chicken, or sausage though; I had meat in every bite. (So basically it's all topping with not potato) All in all, if I do visit again it'll definitely be for the Cheesy Shrimp Boudin Balls. You can't go wrong with that option.

I heard about this place from a friend and based on their website I decided to venture out for a visit. This place is just outside of downtown and located just off South Loop 610 and MLK Blvd. The restaurant is unassuming and located in a small strip center. When you get inside they have two counters; one for order and another for pickup. The seating is very limited with just stools and a small counter, so if you go here be prepared for takeout, sitting on a stool (if you can find one available), or eating in your vehicle.

Now, on to the review of the food. Their menu has so many choices it is impossible not to find a spud to meet your tastebuds standards. They offer two order sizes; small (which will fill up Professor Klump) and large or huge (which feeds at least two or three people). I ordered the spicy sausage spud (small) and my nephew had the Geaux spud with a side order of boudin balls. Folks, these boudin balls come two to an order and they are the size of a regulation-sized softball (I'm not exaggerating either). They were stuffed with shrimp and other ingredients and just looked delicious (and confirmed by my nephew they were just that, delicious). My spicy sausage spud was oh-so-good, and it left me stuffed like a Thanksgiving turkey and completely satisfied.

Folks, this little gem of a restaurant is a 'must visit' for anyone looking for a real 'foodie' experience and awesome food. I'm glad I took the time to trek over to this place, it not only met my expectations, but it also exceeded them by leaps and bounds. If you like baked potatoes, this place has to be on your short list of restaurants to visit and I can assure you, once you've eaten here, it won't be your last time. I'm already looking on my calendar for some free time so I can go back here and get my 'spud fix' on.

Based on this review, I guess you can already see that I'm now part of...

This was my first time visiting this place..i was very dissatisfied w/both the initial service & quality of food. I ordered 3 baked potatoes- Shante was my server..She was very poor listener & was more intent on giving me what she wanted me to have than what i requested..#1 i asked for 2 small shrimp baked potatoes #2 i ordered 1 "Huge" potato w/andouille sausage & shrimp w/sour cream..Shante replied, sour cream doesn't come on any of the potatoes, it's extra..i replied, ok, thats fine. So, i want the "huge"potato as stated above & sourcream on the side, again Shante replied, the sour cream is a separate charge..i said, thats fine I'll pay for it. Then, there was the fact that the potatoes are SEVERELY over priced & they dont even give you a whole potato on the orders, they give you half of the potato carved out of the hull, with a TREMENDOUS amount of clotted cheese, in an effort to hide the fact that you only have, half of a potato on any given order..i paid, $16.50.for half of a baked potato w/a horrific amount of clotted cheese & raw cocktail shrimp & "some" sausage, they call, "andouille".šŸ¤” My order came out, rather quickly, and "WRONG" i got home & discovered i was given 3 small baked potatoes & with NO sour cream...i called the restaurant, immediately, Ms. Jackie/mgr answered i told her my issue, she replied, "ok", we will make you another potato, you will pay the difference & i will give you the "sour cream". Ms. Jackie hade the audacity to charge me another $6.50 on my return to the restaurant to get the correct order..šŸ¤” that her server, "Shante", didn't get CORRECT to start with..šŸ¤” What do yall see thats wrong with this situation? Keep in mind, i had to drive back to the restaurant SMH..but, they wonder why, you dont patronize...
