I am a Waffle House customer I love the atmosphere at the bar to watch them cook. I pick my granddaughter up from Bush Airport InterContinental on Friday knowing we would go to breakfast on the way home. I noticed a Waffle House on the Beltway so we doubled back out of our way to go to this location for breakfast. They were not busy when we walked in and we sat at the bar my waitress was an older short white lady. We turned in our order and a large group of about eight men came in to eat who were very loud and somewhat obnoxious. The staff was primarily black African-American the customers at that time African-American/latin as well. My order came out she brought me a bowl of grits which I did not order she corrected it brought my granddaughter her toast and her hash browns she was missing a waffle and cheesy eggs. The cook line was in chaos due to the large orders of the men that had walked in my granddaughter never got her waffle!!!! I watched the waffle area as our waitress was trying to receive one for my granddaughter the staff ignored her and pushed her to the side several times 😵💫 Needless to say we never got the waffle we never got the cheesy eggs she never came to check on our needs because I brought it to her attention that they were bullying her💥💥💥 End result she took my granddaughter's meal off the ticket and did not charge us for that. I must say it usually is somewhat of a show to go to any Waffle House and I seen somewhat amused when I go knowing anything can happen. But this pissed me off💥 Can't say I look at Waffle House the same right now sadly enough social media brings to our attention the brawls in fights that Waffle House seems to produce my advice to...
Read moreHorrible!! I should've got up when I first noticed how nasty the establishment was. But noooo, I just had to have Waffle House. I've been too maaaannnny locations in several states. This one was top of the nastiest. My waitress Masserratta (something like that) is absolutely nasty. Plays in her hair, was sweeping, then went to grab our plates. When I stated the obvious to her she acted like she was clueless which further proved to me that this is a daily work place habit of hers (indeed). The manager on duty (Pat, at least that what they said her name was) was asked how to contact the owner by another guest being serviced. Pat stated with certainty, "Have him write his name and number down and the reason he wants to speak to the owner and we will take it from there." Which in my mind, from the nasty enviroment and lack of customer service only meant, the message would never make it to the owner. Long story short, I asked for a copy of my check with all info on it and was told I would have to wait for one to be copied. While waiting I got sick... Bc I did not want to pass out in a room full of strangers (my boyfriend was standing right outside), I digressed and faintly wondered outside where I collapsed in my vehicle. Only to vomit up my entire All Star Breakfast... Smh employees who handle trash and food at the same time, won't allow warmed syrup which is super cold and almost too sticky and thick (maybe old) to use on waffles...the place needs to be cleaned up and out. Employees need a "chick-fi-let customer service training". Period...ugh glad I was able to puke instantly...I felt sudden illness...
Read moreI visited the Waffle House on Houston Pkwy, and honestly, this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. From start to finish, everything was a complete disaster: • Total disorganization: it took them over 20 minutes just to take the order, and then more than 40 minutes to serve it. To make it worse, the food didn’t even come out together but in random parts, making it impossible to enjoy as a proper meal. • Zero hygiene: the waitress served the plates while her fingers touched the food directly. She carried glasses stuck to her dirty apron, and her hands touched the rims of the cups before handing them over. Absolutely disgusting. • Chaotic kitchen: no order, no cleanliness. Employees wore gloves but wiped them on their aprons and then went on to handle “clean” plates. I even saw forks and cleaning rags on the floor, which they later used as if nothing happened. • Terrible attitude: instead of a welcome, the waitress greeted us by saying: “I don’t know why everyone insists on coming to eat at this small restaurant.” That alone tells you everything about their customer service. • Unpleasant environment: between the mess, the kitchen noise, and the obvious lack of overall cleanliness, the place felt more like a health hazard than a restaurant.
In short, this place is not only slow and disorganized, but it also puts customers’ health at risk due to the lack of hygiene. This Waffle House desperately needs a health inspection and a complete change in...
