Not enough towels in bathroom. Looking for dishes, as none were on shelves. They were all still in the dishwasher, and they appeared to have been cleaned. (Except check that SILVERWARE! Not so well cleaned.) However, housekeeping very friendly and accommodating. As a DIAMOND member, I asked for a 2pm checkout due to a business need. They said they couldn't do that. I told them that another Home2Suites a few miles away had, in my previous stay. She said they "were a franchise hotel" and therefore didn't offer that. Two reasons we couldn't ACTUALLY SLEEP here. Like another H2suites that we stayed at, the bed is the hardest, 2nd most uncomfortable bed that I have ever TRIED to sleep in. And that includes cheap hotels on the highway in my much younger days. The only other bed that was more uncomfortable in a hotel stay was the OTHER H2Suites down the road a few miles. I don't know who, at Hilton chose these beds, but they were out of their mind. It certainly was not that way when I spent 4.5 months at a Homewood Suites hotel a couple of years ago. Theirs was just great. I will no longer stay at a H2suites because of this. The other reason that we got no sleep was that there was a large party in the hotel, which was FULL. There were children RUNNING amok, in and out, around the lobby, and apparently up and down the halls on the floor above us. It sounded like a herd of elephants STOMPING on the floor above, and this went on most of the night! It was literally like being in the middle of a circus. The guy at the front desk at night was by himself with this full hotel and people trying to check in late, as well as people asking about finding a room. There was no way I was going to ask him for help in trying to abate the noise upstairs. I felt so sorry for him, and he was as nice as he could possibly be. So, we spent a total of about 45 minutes sleeping that night, with my very elderly mom maybe getting a few more winks, simply because she was so exhausted. Also, this particular hotel was lacking in their breakfast choices compared to the other H2SUITES a few miles away. It must have been because of that franchise thing. With the lobby full of people talking and visiting with NO masks on, during the day, evening and at breakfast, it felt like a COVID Super spreader event . (I'm guessing a crowd in town for a special event like graduation /family reunion, etc.) Overall, what a SHAME. A very new, very nice facility. It has such potential. The Housekeeping staff was the best part of this hotel stay. The young woman who took my reservation over the phone at the hotel was sweet and friendly and bubbly. Imagine my surprise when I arrived and tried to check in, in a hurry, because I didn't have much time to get to a business appointment, and was "greeted" by a woman who could barely hide her complete disdain (for me? for customer service? for her job?) and maintained that attitude until checkout. I never got to see the nice bubbly young person who took my reservation for me. Anyway, I certainly won't recommend this hotel to ANYONE in the future. I was in the travel business for 15 years before changing careers, and all I can say, is that the manager certainly has a challenge in front of him to...
Read moreLooks Can be Deceiving: The reason why am titling this review this is because of the experience we got to witness on our stay. Upon arriving we were greeted by a very beautiful hotel on the outside And an extremely friendly staff at the front desk. One of the first questions out of the receptionist mouth was,”do you have fire arms in your truck because you look like a country boy?” Of course my immediate answer was yes along with tools. The receptionist not only this one time but multiple times told me that I better get my belongings out of my vehicle because this parking lot is Suspicable to break ins. Something I did not want to hear upon arriving for business and continued education in the Houston area. But we should have known something wasn’t right when you have to have an armed guard at your hotel along with armed guards at neighboring restaurants. After getting settled in our room number 311 before going to bed around 10:30 PM we went to turn over one of the pillows and there was dried up blood underneath the pillow. This was totally unacceptable in my boat in anyone else’s book will stay there.
Being the person I am we are allowed the hotel management to move us to run for 411. Of course observing each and every digit carpet look and turned over each bit to check for anything else that may be surprising. Since it was late we decided to stay.
The next day the hotel management and owner happen to be at the hotel upon arriving back around 5:30 PM. The first immediate question that he asked me was what could he do to make me happy. I am mediately thought about it and said I know what I would do but I want to see what you would do.
Fast forward until today, we were promised that a few nights would be free which I was OK with. But this morning whenever I ask for an itemized bill you could see that we were charged for the first night at half price and then the full price the remaining nights. Totally unacceptable.
When a person gives their word in business you better make sure that you keep this word or at least try to satisfy the customer as much as possible. I’ve stayed at roach motels to $500 night hotels in never in my life have I experienced this. I am very honest but the look was a beautiful three year old hotel, but the overall experience was very poor. You decide for yourself if you have to worry about your vehicle being broken into every night while you’re trying to get a good nights sleep.
What I found out from local police authorities was that the actual name of the area is called Greenspoint What it is always joked about it with people call it now Guns Point.

Read moreThis place in not fit for humans to stay. I took the breakfast attendant job from 5 to 11. My first day there I was sent to the kitchen with no training or help and told to set up breakfast. The manager said she would be training me, it never happened. When she did arrive she was late and argued with the night auditor about his role. Still no guidance on what I needed to do. Most of the food was bout dated. There was never enough food to fill bar. I tried to make the best of it. The condiments were old and the raisins had mold. The brown sugar was hard, which means they were not being cleaned out or changed. The containers had broken glass. There was no gloves to prepare the food with. They did not use hair nets. The night auditor came in the kitchen he dropped foot on the floor and wanted to serve it. Never saw anyone was there hands while working there there was roaches in the kitchen. The day I started I explained, I couldn’t work in the kitchen it was not fair to the guest. I scrubbed and labeled the few things that was in stock. Still no help or training. The last day I was there I was Toto disrespected by the person who claimed to be from corporate. Talked to rudely in front of guest. When I explained this was the first day we had food and that I had never been trained, she went to the office spoke with the manager behind closed doors. She never offered and support. At the end of my shift I told them after all that had happened that would be my last day. The district manager was not concerned about where she and the property manager partied then corrected the state of the hotel. This place was very unprofessional. Management dressed in flip flops. Employees brought there children to work and slept in the Landry/ storage area. COVID protocol not being followed. I do have pictures if this place and will gladly provide them. This place is not what I know of the Hilton brand. There was no one at the desk to greet the guests instead she would be in the office. I was on the break bar and would alert her. She would be looking at the camera and make faces like it was a bother to stop texting and help...
