Bagel Country on 9 — Restaurant in Howell Township

I don’t write many reviews but definitely have to for bagel country on 9. My husband and I lived in Manalapan and we were so disappointed that we could never find a good bagel place. We decided to drive a little farther and try bagel country. From the first time we had it we were sold and finally found our spot. They have the best bagels that are always fresh and their cream cheese selection is to die for (highly recommend the jalapeño and cheesecake). I brought their bagels and cream cheese over to my parents and siblings one day and they continue to ask me to bring more. Not to mention not only are their bagels the best they are so kind. All around it really is the best bagel spot. We are SO sad that we recently moved up north and nothing compares. Good thing we have family not too far and we definitely will continue to stop in whenever we are in the area. Could not recommend...

I heard many recommendations and rave reviews about this place so I went. Ordered a steak egg and cheese on a cheddar jalapeno bagel with SPK. I was very disappointed when I got home and unwrapped it, there was one jalapeno(looks like the other fell off) and it wasnt cut in half. I know inflation is bad but you can put more than 2 jalapenos on the bagel especially if you know they may fall off. Couldnt really taste any salt or pepper either which was extra disappointing because the steak was unseasoned. From everything I heard, what I got was the opposite. May be a one off but not a good first...

The bagels are thin with very little chew. The salt bagel was coated in thin salt rather than coarse salt, which is nothing we have experienced anywhere else. Although the smoked salmon itself was reportedly good, the ratio of the ingredients on the lox bagels was strange. Our whole group was disappointed with their bagels and we won’t be returning.
