Everyone loves finding a bakery that’s free of the Top 9! It’s awesome to walk in somewhere and know that everything is safe.
Everything at this bakery was safe for me, although the baked goods all seemed to have oat flour, so be aware that’s it’s probably not for you if you can’t have oats :(
The bakery also has some No Whey products available for purchase, which I’m a big fan of, it’s just pricey.
I will say, I was disappointed. Everything was safe, but the options were so limited. Empty spots of shelves for the candy, and the actual baked goods were only 6 items. Not only that, I went when they opened at 8, and actually had to come back at 9 if I wanted anything from the bakery, so I did come back at 9.
I ended up getting one of everything, spent a LOT of money, and I was super disappointed. Nothing actually seemed like it was baked fresh, it seemed like the stuff came in frozen and was just baked+frosted there. I’m not sure if that’s true or not, but coming in at 9 for when the baked goods were ready, they already seemed stale. Not only that, while I was inside it felt like I was an annoyance, and that it was time for me to leave.
The dough to the doughnuts was tough, and the flavor wasn’t really there. It wasn’t easy to bite off a piece, which I know IS possible because I’ve had allergy friendly donuts that were super light and fluffy before.
I really hate to “hate on” allergy friendly foods, especially baked goods, but honestly it’s not worth the trip. I would stick to getting the candy online, as those are all really good.
Edit: Ended up throwing away the donuts because they...
Read moreWe heard about No Whey bake shop through a friend and just made our first visit there. The fact that my son left saying “Mommy this is the first time I could pick up anything and not have to worry about looking at the label” was enough for me. But our review doesn’t stop there. Everything we tried so far is delicious. And yes 30 seconds after we left we were ripping wrappers and opening packages. The brownies taste like what people might call real brownies. The cupcakes are the best cupcakes we have tried (and we have tried A LOT of cupcakes). The chocolate covered pretzels also get a thumbs up. We still have more to try but need make sure we don’t eat all this goodness at once. AND… next week they’ll be serving bread!!! All vegans and fellow friends with allergies you need to try this place....
Read moreWe just went for the first time today took a detour off our road trip to stop in. My kids were so excited that they could pick anything out we have a lot of allergies and it was so nice to see their faces light up and know that everything there was safe for them. The worker was so kind and sweet and it was overall an amazing experience. It’s a small front shop but so worth it to go in they had so many options to choose from we grabbed a little of everything we could. We will definitely be planning more detours the next time...
