Hamisada in Howell is an absolute gem for anyone craving authentic, flavorful Middle Eastern cuisine. From the moment you walk in, the welcoming aroma of freshly grilled meats and warm spices sets the tone for a memorable dining experience.
The menu is packed with a variety of traditional dishes, each made with care and attention to detail. Their shawarma is absolutely top-notch—perfectly seasoned, juicy, and served on fresh, soft pita. The falafel is crispy on the outside, light and fluffy on the inside, and pairs wonderfully with their creamy hummus and tahini.
What really stands out at Hamisada, though, is the quality of the ingredients. Everything tastes fresh, and you can tell they take pride in their food. The grilled kebabs are always tender and flavorful, and the sides (like the salad and rice) perfectly complement the main dishes. They also have an impressive selection of vegetarian options for those who prefer plant-based meals.
The staff are friendly, attentive, and more than happy to guide you through the menu if you're a first-timer. The atmosphere is casual but cozy, making it a great spot for both takeout and a sit-down meal with family or friends.
Whether you’re in the mood for a quick bite or a full-on feast, Hamisada delivers an unbeatable combination of quality, flavor, and value. Highly recommend it for anyone in the Howell area looking for an authentic taste of the...
Read moreDon't worry, be Ha'ppy! Excellent Israeli/Mediterranean food. Here, you order at the counter or at your table via web and they bring you your food. The meat in my husband's Beef Kufta Skewer was huge, tasty, and tender and among the best I've had. It came with 2 sides of his choice- Couscous with Veggies and a cucumber and tomato-based Israeli Salad. Every ingredient tasted super fresh. Then my glorious Salad Combo (which I highly recommend) captivated me with 12 little bowls of hummus, babaganoush, spicy eggplant, pickled veggies, tahini, olives, and more! It arrived with 2 big, hot, and thick pitas that my whole family enjoyed. Sadly, my kid's Chicken Nuggets were over fried and tough but they enjoyed their fries and other items on the table. Next time, they'll be happier with hummus and pita. For me, their hummus and babaganoush were so good, they could be my entire meal!
NOTES/TIPS: **Vast menu including lots of hummus. Thursday nights, they offer kugel and other specials. **Wheelchair-accessible. Clean bathrooms. **Plenty of parking in a huge lot shared with...
Read moreMy husband wanted hummus so we went to this restaurant to try out some of the food. First, the staff is RUDE! No greeting and it seems like they were annoyed to help us. Once we were able to complete our orders they asked us to put our number in the system. We assumed it was notify us that the takeout order was don’t buy it was not. We sat in the car waiting because the place was too loud and we just didn’t feel comfortable. It seems like as soon as he put in his number, he received like 10 spam calls. After like 20 minutes my husband went back inside and his food was ready but he never got a text from the restaurant. It was weird that they’ve asked for his number but didn’t use it for updates on the order. I will try this place again solely based on other reviews and to make sure my experience wasn’t because someone was...
