GRIFFS GRILL — Restaurant in Howell

Wasn't sure of the place based on some early reviews I saw but at least in the present Griffs was great! Have a read about my experience!

I personally tried sandwiches with all 3 of the sauces on the menu and a side of fries. Highlander with boss sause was delicious and was noted as a favorite by the server. Truffle shuffle with the truffle mayo was great as well but I'd put the highlander first. The chicken little I subbed for bistro sauce and dipped it on the side as well, flavor wise this was actually my favorite sandwich and was a good size as well. fries are shoestring style and good flavor, better than most fast food places and affordable.

I liked the style inside, felt a bit more unique than places nowadays and a little more old school. Had rock music playing throughout visit which I enjoyed. Food comes out quick, dine in you pay and order at the front but still receive service at your seat.

Prices are fair for what you get, serving size I would say 2 sliders and a side is enough. I went with a 3rd only to try more flavors. They are bigger than white castle sliders but smaller than your standard...

Great food, great staff, stand up level ownership and customer service.

In a world of dwindling customer service, they stand out as exceptional. Open later than most similar style eateries, and will take an order til the end of business hours. Not turn off the grill 20 minutes early so they can leave at 9:01. If you call during business hours, you will be served. The family business practice runs strong and gives you the feeling of people who actually care for what they are doing and who they are serving.

Food is also stellar and not incredibly greasy or cooked carelessly. Our food came served in biodegradable packaging instead of synthetic wasteful packaging. The burgers also taste incredible and the cajun fries are simply perfect. The food on their kids menu is also crafted with the same proportions as the adult menu rather than the smaller kids portions of other restaurants. Our kids always have leftovers when we bring Griffs home.

Wonder if any of these people said anything about their "overdone bland sliders"? The same people complaining, I imagine they love Burger King and McDonalds. I took my son here, we each had a couple different sliders. Yes, they do need a bit more seasoning, yes the burgers were overcooked...YES THEY ARE A NEW SMALL BUSINESS. Instead of running to Google and complaining about how bad your experience was, try using your grown up words and have a conversation with the owner, who apparently is always by the register. Don't start off a review saying you want to give small business a try while giving a 1 ☆ review. You know how bad those reviews can hurt a business just starting out?

Yes this place needs some improvement, it seems like they really are trying. They have had a hiring sign up front since they opened. Remember, this is mom n pop, not a franchise or corporation, just like the construction zone...
